I feel like I FAILED--BIG

Students NCLEX

I took the NCLEX-RN exam yesterday. I have never felt like such a failure. I had 230 questions, and I am waiting for results. I feel like I got a huge amount of SATA.. easily 50. I felt like it was a bulk of my test. I had 3 or 4 drag and drop, and 3 pictures. No hot spots, but look at this picture and select how it should be charted.

I used the live Kaplan review course, and completed 95% of the qbank. My diagnostic test put me around 92% chance of passing, and the readiness put me around 97% (these percentages came from the instructor, based on the test score). After finals in school, we all took the ATI comprehensive exam, and it said I had a 95% chance of passing on the first try. I graduated May 9, and studied and did qbanks, and looked up content I wasn't sure of the whole time. I did take a few days and not study... I needed a break.

I did the PVT about 7 hours after I tested, and got the pop up that said "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration can not be made at this time"

Someone talk me down! I don't feel so good.

Do what you can to relax. The PVT is just that, a trick. It isn't a positive indication or for that matter a negative indication. The good pop up is for sure positive but you wont know till the results are in. Does your state allow for 48 hour results? If so than sit back and enjoy the ride till you get the results tomorrow. Go do something you haven't done because of nursing school and all the studying completed for the NCLEX.

Let us know how it turns out, step away from the ledge....... :cheeky:

keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I PASSED! Holy smokes that was a stressful 24 hours! I must have had a terrible case of test anxiety to begin with! I kept hearing the Kaplan instructor's voice that said, as long as you are getting questions, you are still in it. Don't give up! Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I am so glad I will never have to do that again :)

Yay congratulations!

kjrober, I felt like I failed when I left too. The questions were random and I was rarely 100% sure about the answer I was picking, I just picked the one that looked best but even that was like splitting hairs.

And you were going to jump off a ledge somewhere.... Congratulations.;)
