Hurst NCLEX-RN Review

by jamonit

I was wondering if anyone had used Hurst for NCLEX preparation. It's obligatory at my school, rather expensive, yet the pass rate is supposedly great. Any one have good luck with this method?

I am using the online video review. Marlene Hurst is funny and easy to follow. I don't know about any of her instructors. So far, I am enjoying the video review. I took 2 Mosby's CAT online today. The first one I scored a 94% chance at passing NCLEX and the second one a 99%. I don't have a "pre review" score to compare it to except HESI, which gave me 97.75% probability.

I took the live review 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I've taken Kaplan live review also, but liked HURST a LOT better. I'm going thurs. to take NCLEX

I took it and I loved every single second of that review. It was fun, informative and highly educational. It has been by far the best thing I've seen or done thus far in my preparation for NCLEX.

It's expensive by my hospital paid for a huge portion of the review class, so that helped. They offer a payment option if that helps.

I would 110% recommend the class. According to those that have taken the NCLEX vs. the Hurst review, the questions that Hurst gives you really mimic the type of questions you'll see on the NCLEX and the rationals are hands down awesome and really help you learn how to think like the NCLEX people want you to think.

I took the live version of the Hurst Review. The speaker made the review fun, and somehow the review just made what I learned in school "click". I had a better understanding of "why" things are done. I just took the boards (passed with 75), and the whole time I was thinking of the review, and what we had covered. To me, it really helped and it was worth it!

Would you send me the link for the Mosby's CAT online?

The hurst was wonderful! Be sure to study for NCLEX the way that she teaches you to study and you will be fine.
