How long to wait from graduation to taking NCLEX-RN?

by mmr2

In the school I'm going to (next year), the last nursing class is in Summer I, finishes around June 15th, in New Jersey. So when would I expect to be able to take the board? I understand I need to wait till the school send the transcripts, etc to the BON. So would I be able to sit for NCLEX-RN before the end of July?

Depending how your school processes everything, you could take the boards in July. I graduated at the end of May and it took them a couple of weeks to send everything to the State, and then I got my ATT about 2 weeks later. It could also depend when's the earliest you could take your boards. For example, I got my ATT the 21st of June....but the earliest I could take the NCLEX was July 13th. Best of luck to you!

EDIT: I forgot to add about getting the earliest date- depends when you set up an appt on Pearson.
