How long does it take ???

Updated Aug 09, 2005 at 09:04 AM by moliuchick

I checked my the Texas BON website to try to find out my NCLEX result this morning. I took it yesterday around 9am. How come I cannot find my name ????
Did I fail???? I am in Minnesota sitting for the Texas LIcense, do you think that might cause a delay in showing my result??????

On the website, it said it will take within 10 business days for them to post the result. Do you think it will take less time than that?

Did I fail????????????????????????????????

I hope you hear back soon! I have a question for you though...how was nursing school? Was it just challenging because of all the time it takes or was it challenging because the subject matter is difficult? I start in September and am so nervous. It's not like physics or anything like that is it? Is it basically as challenging as an Anatomy and Physiology class? Please tell me what you thought of nursing school.

Moliuschick,

I'm waiting too. I looked last night a few times and this morning. Nothing yet Let's try and stay positive. Hopefully not much longer!

rayofsunshine~ I will help answer your question. I thought nursing school was hard because of all the time it takes and the amount of studying. It wasn't like your prereq's A&P where you could memorize and take a test. For nursing you have to be able to read, digest, understand and apply what you read. To me, it was a lot of material thrown at you at once. You don't have much of a life, so get use to that.

After going through nursing school the prereq's were easy. and here I thought the prereq's were hard. I think if you do well in the prereq's you will do fine nursing school.

Good luck!!!

I know in Florida it takes 2-3 days before your license number shows up. So, don't stress yet!

Really? Thanks for telling me. I think the reason it takes so long is because there are so many people in Florida and of course, it should be worst for states like Texas or California. Am I right? (I am trying to rationalize it now. )
Man, is it a long wait or what????? I am going crazy now and I am thinking that I might have failed.
I had like a really good feeling after I took my test because I thought I did well. But what if I don't ?

Moliuchick!!!!

Hang in there girly. Odds are you passed!!!! I know for Maryland it takes a week. They are electronic. Did you pay for the pearson quick results? They say you can have your results in 24hrs. Pearson also says everything is electronic. My board posts usually that evening or the next day. Our is quick. So don't feel like you didn't pass even though you havent' heard yet.

I'm praying you find out soon! I know the wait sucks! I think you passed!!

Thanks for your kind words. I will keep my finger crossed. Congrats to you!
I hope it is true that it will take awhile for the Texas BON to find out my score. It sucks to wait!
