How did you prepare for SATA/alternative format questions?

I'm alright with these types of questions, and I think they just scare me more than anything so I want to be really prepared.

Can anyone share with me how they prepared/practiced for SATAs? Like are there any books, programs, ect specifically focusing on these?

When i took my NCLEX-PN 2days before my exam i answered 100 SATA questions in nclex 3500 ..i got 45% not even on the passing of 50% but it did really helped me alot.. :) sometimes when i am in the mood i answer 20SATAs /day so then even answering 1 after another SATA in my actual PN exam i feel a little bit comfortable :) and i would do the same for my NCLEX-RN :)

I was taught to view each option as a true or false question.

I also did lots of prep sample questions-about 2500 right before the test.

I had lots of SATAs on my NCLEX pn but passed with 85 questions.

thanks for the advice, I've also read in kaplan about the true/false strategy, Can I ask what program you used to review questions? I'm using saunders and hogan

Yes true/false strategy really helps,! :) .. I have Kaplan for NCLEX-RN tho, I dont have the PN,,I focused my review for RN since I am taking them both ..I only answered a couple of Q&A PN questions before my exam..I bought NCSBN too the 3wk course for PN to answer q&a, didnt read the content coz I might confuse myself coz I have saunders 5e for RN as my core content.. but I did pass with 85 questions too :).. try NCSBN questions, as for my experience they resemble the actual exam.

I just purchased ncsbn too for RN since i had a good experience with ncsbn and now crossing my fingers to pass the exam for RN ,, Good Luck to us!!!:x3: and God Bless! :)

I used 2 apps: "NCLEX mastery" and "NCLEX PN by upward mobility". I didn't use Hearst but my best friend did.

My BFF and I also used Kaplans (and maybe Saunders )programs, also.

We both passed on 1st try.
