Horrible feeling after taking the Nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello Everyone,

I took the Nclex this afternoon. I've never felt this horrible. I was confident before sitting for the exam but I felt like everything I knew went out the door during the exam.

I used Kaplan to prepare. My grades were consistent with the Question Trainers scoring in the high 50's on Trainer 1-5. On trainers 6 & 7, I received 63 and 64, respectively && I got a 64 on the Readiness exam and my score for the Qbank was a 60.

I only used Kaplan to prepare.

I felt so horrible I could not eat, or focus on anything. I was in tears for the most part. I tried the Pearson's trick, and after many attempts, I received the "good pop up" --- I am feeling a lot better. Yet, I am a little skeptic.

How accurate is the "Good Pop Up?"

the good pop up is pretty accurate... check other threads and you'll see a strong correlation between getting the "good pop up" and passing. so in advance congrats!

After I finished the old-fashioned 2-day test I was convinced I had failed. Try being the FIRST one done of several hundred students. I felt like I was doing the "perp-walk" when I left the building. I had already decided that I was going to do my fall-back job...yes I was going to be a hooker. Good money and you didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn.

You're fine! Relax! Pinky promise!

:) thanks guys. i feel so much better. at first I kept getting the "open registration" pop up. && it made me more nervous. but i tried after my nclex would have ended (after the full 6 hours) .... i read the other blogs, and I noticed the correlation. i feel like crying, but happy tears this time.

How many questions did you get on the NCLEX?

Any recommendations, I test in 1 week

I stopped at 75. I felt like all my questions were priority && select all that apply. How are you preparing?

I completed Virtual ATI's program, I am completing Kaplan now, I completed Exam Cram, I completed NCLEX made incredibly easy, and I am working on Saunders now.

Kaplan scores range from 55-76, mostly in the mid 60s

ATI, only two tests were under 60

NCLEX made incredibly easy, nothing less than a 72

Exam Cram, lowest was a 65

Saunders 265 question comprehensive review 62

I am worried about pharm, there's so much to know

I just don't know what to expect and that scares me big time..What did you use??

You should be fine. I only used Kaplan. For the medications, I studied the groups. Basically I listened to the content review of the medication that kaplan offers. I then memorize the things I thought were important.

Good Luck!

The content view as in the videos?? Theyre like 6 hours long

If you ask me, I will say for pharm, just know the classifications and their side effects and what they are used for. Thank God for Kaplan and their videos online as well as the course book because I would have been lost. I was happy I knew all the meds I was asked based on their classifications except for 1.
