Hi, I am BortaZinTx, RN

Pleased to meetya!

Whee! Just got Quick Results saying I passed the NCLEX-RN. Thanks to all of you who gave me support and encouragement on this forum, during the illness of my dad and retaking of my final semester. When I was ready to quit and give up, you all encouraged me and pushed me onward.

Thanks a million, from one of Texas' newest RNs!

Congratulations!!!

I just found out I passed a few minutes ago, too. It's so surreal.

What's your next step? Do you have a job?

Heh, wonder how long it takes for the stomach to unknot?

Thankfully, my NICU director has already hired me for her Level 3 NICU, and I'm all set to begin orientation Nov. 2. Whee.

Wow, congrats on the awesome job!!!

All the hospitals here have hiring freezes, kind of a bummer after all the hard work to not be able to get a job. Maybe I'll move to Texas. I'd love the warm weather.

He had a heart attack a week or so before my 2nd exam in last semester, then had a stroke 10 days before my 3rd exam. Blowing those exams (I chose dad over school, yanno) led to having to retake the last semester of my program and prevented me from graduating with my class.

But, I finally graduated and now the dream is real. Dad is doing well for his age and condition, and says he just did it to give me a challenge. LOL

Thanks, Squatch
