Hi Everyone!!! NCLEX, pass or fail?

Hello,
I'm new to allnurses. I found myself coming on here so much reading the forums I decided to join. I'm happy to be part of the community! Everyone here seems like fantastic people that encourage each other. Thats great to see!!

The reason I was coming here so frequently is October 1, 08 I took the NCLEX-PN. I got 85 questions. When it was over I felt confident about passing. I walked out with a smile on my face but while sitting here for a week now, thinking, I'm starting to worry if I passed or not? Friends from school are calling me asking if I got my results and weither they should be worried about there test they also have recently took.

The test took me 1hr and 15min to get through. The questions I didn't think were that bad at all. Asked meds (I had no clue what they were but tried my best). I got one SATA. A drop box, a few psyche, a lot of prioritizing questions, and a couple culture and maternity. No calculations which I was really surprized to see! Don't know if thats a good thing or bad?

I was hoping someone can give me some advice on the passing rate for 85 questions involving the type of questions I was asked.
I was searching all over the internet hoping to find something that would give the results of the test that no one knows about but didn't find anything haha!

Anyone going to take the test... here is my best advice. Know your maslows, nursing process, and ABCs. Facts are important too but this test is really focused on your "thinking like a nurse" or "critical thinking" skills. Best of luck to you all!!!

Thanks for reading my post. Good luck to all the new nurses and soon to be nurses! This is a career that takes strength in who you are as a whole! Anyone willing to challenge being a nurse weither RN or LVN, pass or fail the NCLEX is a truely remarkable person!! Thanks for your curagious hearts!

You just can't predict, the exam is designed in a way that not everyone will get same questions or type of questions as someone else. 85% pass first time so hang in there and good luck. Which BON/BRN did you take the exam with?

I see you are from California. I hear they take a while to give the results. The number of questions you get or the amount of time have NO bearing on whether you passed or failed. Try to distract yourself while you wait. Good luck!!!!! :hngon:HANG IN THERE!!!!
