How to HESI results correlate to NCLEX results? I took my HESI June 9, day before graduation. We needed an 800 to pass, I got a 1073, I think. It was a 1000 something. Which was like a 94.4%. Those that took HESI and NCLEX, what did you get on your HESI? Did you pass NCLEX? Thanks

Jamie

I got a 1251, 99.9% on my Hesi and passed the NCLEX last wednesday with 75 questions in about an hour. BUT, I also did around 3000 questions in my saunders cd and/or Nclex made incredibly easy book. I also did the Hurst review which helped refresh me on things that I had forgotten. I think if you do the questions you will have no problem.

Good luck

I've been doing 60-100 questions a night. Plus we had to take the Sylvia Rayfield review for school. So, we'll see. I haven't gotten my ATT yet, so hopefully soon. THanks

I took the HESI test the last semester of nursing school and honestly I did not feel like the HESI test was anything like the NCLEX. HESI was all knowledge base questions and the NCLEX was more of critical thinking.

Only one of my classmates has taken the Nclex so far. She passed with 75 questions and said that it was exactly like the HESI. I'm not sure what she got on the HESI however.

A multitude or research has been done comparing HESI and NCLEX. In general, HESI is VERY good at predicting NCLEX success/failure. However, this does not mean that just because you did well on HESI that you should not prepare for the NCLEX. It just means that you should go into your NCLEX with the confidence that you have both prepared for the test AND shown on HESI that you can succeed. GOOD LUCK!
