Hello, Im New to this site but, I knew some day I had to post to share my experience welllll here I am.First off I love all of the nurses and pre-nursing students we are all strong and been through so much we need acknowlegdement 7days/wk.Any Way, Im from a college in New Jersey I graduated Nursing school in May 2011 sad to say because I still did not take my NCLEX examination. My school was holding me and a large lumpsome of peope back for not passing the Hesi(Im glad thats over):yeah::yeah::yeah:!My score remained in the high 700's and low 800's even though my scores was not bad and also was a overall "B" student I was not good enough to be released! I Finally got released after 7months of B.S in now Im so discouraged and feel that since I could not get a 850 on Hesi thats I will not pass the NCLEX.At, this moment im using Kaplan,My Hesi book, and the nsbn(learning ext website),hoping I pass NCLEX on the 1st time.I just need Encouragement:crying2:.I been through so much but, I love God so much for keeping me stong.(even though I had a hard time on HESI I remain studying even harder). So I been studying 7mths straight. The Hesi really F*c*** my mind up to a point where I think I will not pass NCLEX.I no my post is long is ever, but now i see what people actually get from posting on here It make me feel so good to write about my struggles with NCLEX.Its always the people thats going to be the best nurses going though the most God is trying to prepare Us.Anyway anyone feel free to post I need you!I will post into I pass NCLEX should be taking it soon.Pray for me people! I no you dont no me,but I NEED to pass NCLEX for personal reason also:redbeathe

I hated the HESI, and was very lucky that it didn't affect our status as students. Our program used the HESI to measure our progress but wasn't a condition of passing the whole program. I got well over 900 on my HESI but felt that those exams were nothing but a bunch of crap. I hate it that a lot of nursing schools are using those exams as a condition that must be passed before graduation. The HESI is exactly what I said BUNCH OF CRAP. They can book test you all you want but if you don't have the clinical skills you wont make it as a nurse. I'm so happy that you are now free from that nightmare and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. My last semester of nursing schools, I got like 890, 880, and I can't remember the last one. I must have been a very good guesser because I didn't feel that I knew the answers. Now that you have passed the HESI and finished your program and CONGRATULATIONS ON THAT!!! you can focus on your NCLEX and passing that. Best of luck to you!

NurseCubanitaRN2b thanks alot for responding:o.Yeah it was a very stressful time for me because I no the information, its just with Hesi its like you palying a guessing game.I sure hope NCLEX is not like that.Everyone I no that passed Hesi said they guessed on majority of the test it sucks!People with very low GPA's was passing Hesi! I felt so stupid into I found out alot of people with high GPA's was also failing!Did you take the NCLEX? Do you think Hesi had anything to do with the Nclex format or content on the NCLEX?I hope I pass the NCLEX i have no more room for failure:mad:!Im truly blessed that I have only NCLEX in front of me Im 24 yrs old have not had alife my entire time in nursing school I need to pass this NCLEX.Im studying everyday even on thanks giving hopefully it pay off!:redbeathe
