Help with passing nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am trying to see what I'm doing wrong because I have taken the nclex rn more than once and still have not pass I always get never passing and on some I have gotten above passing.. I don't know what I need to do but I'm confused of where to start now.. Someone please help me .

What have you been doing to study for the NCLEX? Which resources have you been using?

I studied mainly with the Saunders book, to review important content and complete their practice questions. I also had a phone app called NCLEX-RN Mastery to do practice questions on-the-go when I had a few minutes. However, uWorld is an amazing resource for practice questions; they give thorough rationales, and it is well worth the subscription price. Highly recommend. Also, study test-taking strategies! They will be very important! The Saunders book explains them in the first chapter.

Taking a one-on-one prep course will also be very helpful. I've heard very good things from my old school classmates about Virtual ATI: 12 weeks online with a personal coach.

Good luck to you!

I hope you receive many helpful responses.

Also, you may find good information by searching through the other threads in this forum. :)

Thanks I am working with the Saunders book I was just do questions from their but now I'm using their study guide plan it has for me... I have used uworld before but didn't succeed with that and Hurst...

Where do I find the NCLEX exam and program forum that you are talking about dianah, ADN

I definitely recommend UWorld. Even though I only took the PN exam, the rationales are golden and don't say something like, "C is the answer because it is the answer." Sometimes they provide pictures, so if visuals is your thing, it could be helpful. It cost like $80 for 30 days, so I would probably purchase the subscription a month before you plan on taking the NCLEX unless you want to do the other plans. I think I saw a 60 and 90 day plan, but I can't remember. It also gave me two practice exams with 85 questions (I'm guessing for you it would be 75 for RN). It gives you a grade and a break down of how good or poor of a chance you have on the NCLEX. Questions include SATA, math, putting a sequence in order, point and click on a diagram, etc.

Hey girl!!! Read my story at https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/failing-the-nclex-1113201.html how I went from failing to passing in 75 questions!! you got this!

Personally I've seen some of the Saunders questions, they aren't very good nclex questions -- a bit on the easy side and very content based. Kaplan is my go-too. I passed 75 questions, first try, under an hour with it. If you want to see my full story you can search some of my treads I made a complete story of how I passed. Best of luck!
