Help! Nclex Rn Tuesday

by hbug

Hi everyone, I'm stressing out. I graduated on August 2nd and have been studying at least 5 days a week. I just got my ATT on Friday, as in 2 days ago, and the only appointments were October or this Tuesday. I took Tuesday. I really feel as ready as I can be, but I'm kind of freaking out.
I just have some last minute questions for anyone who has taken it:
1. Did anyone get sooo many more peds questions than they thought they would get?
2. The lab values questions that I have been practicing have 3 normal and 1 abnormal value, is that the same on the NCLEX?
3. And lastly, did anyone get more than 1 or 2 questions related to fluids and electrolytes and ECG changes?

I think that just knowing the answers to these questions will magically make me feel all better Thanks a bunch.

every test is different. You can't really tell......as long as you study well on the material that you are kind of weak in and touch up on the other area's. Know that everything is patient first, never pass the buck,, ABC's, do I need to assess of implement and maslow's. The best thing you could do for yourself is go in there with confidence and know that you are going to pass. Many people, that is were they mess up. Good luck to you, don't stress too much, and just take a deep breath and do the best that you can do!

I found it was not really that bad as long as I felt as prepared as I could be.
The night before I just chilled did NOT look at a study book, question.
Go in there with the attitude you will do the best you can, then you will do just fine.
Best of all good things your way!

Hbug.....

Good luck to you today!!! I am also testing this morning. I just woke up to go over my labs and pretty much want to just get this over with. It is my second attempt and I am a little more nervous this time around. (more nervous but more prepared). I have utilized all of the Kaplan resources and some of the Ssunder's.

I wish I could wave a magic wand and wake up 48 hours from now with all of this behind me. Keep me posted on how it went.....

I too graduated august 2nd!

but I am taking mine later on, because I know our school did not prepare us for this exam.

We never had priority questions, how to room patients, select all that apply or even had a chance to use calculators on the math test.

basically I know nothing from nursing school, I have to learn everything on my own.

So I am going to prepare the best way I can and the worst that could happen is that I fail, but then I will take it again

Thank you all so much for all of your kind words and encouragement. I took it this morning and, literally, my head is still spinning. It shut off at 75 questions and it seemed like I had taken 150. I'm nervous, anxious, excited and ready to hurl...we'll see Thursday.

rn2bmaria...Good luck to you, it sounds like you're very determined to succeed, and I think that's enough to do anything!

I'll let you all know Thursday morning.

I shut off at 165. I think I got the last one right. I probably had 30-40 med questions (lol, bullsh*t), 2 dosage calc, ton's of priority, 5 or 6 select all that apply, lots of infection control............who know's what to think. I don't want to be awake for the next 48 hours........I am going to sleep.
