HELP!!! N-CLEX x 3

I just recieved the devastating news that I once again, did not pass State Boards. I will be going to test again the 1st week of October. (If I don't go crazy first ) I would appreciate any suggestions/or ideas to help me pass this thing!!! I'm very frustrated at this point, however I know I need to keep on going. I have worked so hard for this dream and I don't plan to walk away that easily. Help!!!!!

Sorry to hear this, What have you been using for study and how have you been studying? There are plenty of threads on here about how to study or how people have found their own ways of study which helped them

Good luck and if you feel you need to delay your exam because you are not ready then do so

Sorry to hear you didn't pass. I read hundreds of message in this site before I took the Nclex and most of them said that Kaplan questions look similar to the NCLEX. I have to agree!!!!! Kaplan was very helpful for me and also Saunders Q&A review for the NCLEX-RN for base knowledge questions.

Keep your chin up! Good Luck and God Bless.

Sorry that you didn't pass. I will also be taking the NCLEX x3 in October. I am going to use Suzanne's tip ( saunders) and nothing else.
Hope and Pray that you achieve a pass next time.

took the nclex last august 16 and failed the 3rd time. just thinking about retesting makes me shaky and cold. this is just the worse feeling one could ever have...and to think that this is just a test...a test that would open the doors to our future. but then, even if i am feeling this way, i still would like to re test.

I quite disagree. It's important to maintain some discipline in study and stay focused on the rationale, but case in point is that while I relied most heavily on Kaplan's style and rationales, I found I received different perspective reading the Lipincott 3500 rationales, SAunders, and the NCSBN learning text. Each was different in explaination and difficulty, yet they all relayed a certain style which is the point.

Know how to critically analyze the question, And be very deliberate in how you approach your answer choice.

I am glad I did. I took my study as my full time job. spent all day and night reading, studying, and testing. 2 1/2 months later, I went for my exam and flipped out when it stopped on the 76th question. I totally doubted myself and cursed the system, until 48 hours later I got my happy news.

You will too. There are no hard set rules here. Learn to handle questions from every approach. Do not put all your eggs in Kaplan's basket.

HUGS!

You mentioned doing an NCSBN online program...if you're talking about learning extension, go for it! I did that program and completed it in three weeks. The test questions come straight from the same people who write the NCLEX and it is by far the closest to the test that I have seen yet. Good luck in your studying, you are going to do great next time. Keep us posted!
