HELP! How to study for Pharmacology in prep for NCLEX??

I will be taking the NCLEX at the end of January and have no idea where to start with studying for Pharm...I feel like thats my weakest area and I've heard thats a huge part of the test...kinda freaking out! Any suggestions or tips would be great!! Thanks so much!

Moved to the NCLEX forum

We have several threads discussing pharmacology suggest a search for them. It will be hard learning all drugs so also suggest you just look at prefix and learn common side effects for the group. i.e. drugs ending in 'pril are ACE inhibitors common side effects dry cough, joint pain etc

Thanks Silverdragon...I know most of the common ones and the endings, but I don't know if thats enough?

If you read a lot of the posts in this forum it will tell you a lot of the drugs people came across they hadn't heard from. Knowing the prefix will help but you can't learn them all

I used mosby drug book to study for my NCLEX and is a wonderful resources for Pharmacology. Use the index at the back of the book to study for your NCLEX. All the best!
