Help Failed!!

Students NCLEX

Published

I didn't pass the NCLEX with 265 qs

I know I need to go back & study again!

The last time I used Saunders book & NCLEX RN 3500

This time I feel I need more structure as the exam is broken down into 8 sections different from the way these resources do. I have found this layout in the NCSBN review online course, but I also like the way Kaplan explain the answers.

Shall I purchase the NCSBN online course & the latest Kaplan book?

I just want to prepare myself so I can pass, the first time I failed with 6 near the passing standard, 1 above & 1 below.

Being a UK nurse probably makes it harder!?!

Sorry to hear you failed, I too failed on 265 and finally passed on the 3rd attempt again with 265 so can be done. Nothing to do with being a UK nurse but more to do with having some experience as the exam looks at how you would react text book wise where as someone with experience would do it differently. Why don't you consider Suzanne's plan, free and many nurses especially foreign nurses do well with it. Good luck and if ever you want to chat don't forget a few UK nurses meet in chat on Tuesday evenings UK time 8pm and all you need to do is get another post under your belt :)

I have contacted Suzanne thank you, waiting for reply :lol2:

Can I ask is there anything you did differently to pass 3rd time? :balloons:

hi ya i am a student nurse in ireland and to get into nursing here u must pass a test if u are over 23, it is more interview based and to do with experience though. however if u are under 23 it is much harder!

This is off topic although it is nice that you are posting but OP is already a nurse but tying to pass the US equivalent. For foreign nurses it is a hard exam to pass and first timer and foreign the pass rate is less than 50%
