i agree tutor mode is more useful than sitting and waiting till the end to figure out how you got it wrong

Well I am about to take my NCLEX in two days and I am nervous as can be. Ive been an LPN for over 20 years and went back to school in 2012 and unexpectedly finished in the top of my class. I was very discouraged when initiating review and getting in the 60s and then realized by listening to others that its normal. I have completes Virtual ATI which cost was covered with my school tuition and got the green light as well as U WORLD for which i love . I have done the complete 1960 questions and averaged in high 60s and now with recycling the questions in the mid 70s. I scored a 67 percent on the self assessment; scoring in the 92nd percentile with a very high chance of passing. I also had Kaplan but haven't been a fan( although I got in the 60s to 70s on their assessments. People say U world is the closest and in fact harder. I hope its true because i have grown comfortable with it and hope it was a good investment. Will update with NCLEX results this Friday ( unless I try to reschedule; kinda scared to try that trick). Will update when can!!!

For those of you who used uworld and found it helpful. Did you study from a textbook first? What thee material did you use to study or did you just use uworld? Thanks

First and foremost I would like to say I passed in 75! Found out Fri the 3rd exactly 9 am with quick pay... thanks for encouragement ... u world is def a good investment . I found nclex harder unfortunately but the screen and style of questions are the same as uworld. If u can answer uworld questions u will be able to answer NCLEX so I do feel I was as prepared as I cud be. I did use a textbook. I did have lipponcotts nclex Q&A but it has 6000 questions so I didn't get far in it but it is separated by systems and disorders so if u have a weakness it's a great way to master an area. I used Kaplan as well didn't like them was a waste of my money. They prepare u to test take but with no concept of content. I also do virtual ATI which I had due to school. They provide u a personal coach whom gives a green light if u are ready to test. I did find that encouraging especially after wasting money on Kaplan. They are all about content so because them and u world and RN mastery on my phone I guess I was prepared. I graduated dec 16 didn't start studying till Jan 2 and tested one month later. Questions questions and more questions and read all rationales!!!! Good luck to all

Hi I test next week and have been using Uworld. It is ok, but after about 1000 questions it is starting to seem pretty narrow in scope and the questions are not very challenging. This morning I started googling "is Uworld too easy?" and it seems like more people are failing the NCLEX with Uworld than when it first appeared a few years ago. My friend who I graduated with took her exam Feb 11 and passed in 75 questions. She only used NCLEX RN Mastery. She said it was good, but I didn't even check it out because I have read so much on here about Uworld. Today I finally tried some of the practice questions on Mastery and now am panicked because the questions are much harder and cover many more things. In retrospect I wish I had started with NCLEX Mastery because now I am worried I don't have enough time to cover everything it has. It is super cheap, which is one of the reasons I didn't think it would be good. My mistake. A couple of people have posted on here about it. It is called NCLEX RN Mastery and I highly recommend it. I have seen posts on here about people failing the NCLEX with Uworld scores around 70, and on the Uworld discussion board (I can access since I am registered) there are several people who have recently failed using Uworld and are asking other Uworld members for suggestions. I hope this helps.

I hope I'm not double-posting. I placed this post with the 'reply' button and I don't see it. If I have duplicated, I apologize in advance...

I too want to update and say that yes, Uworld totally rocks. I was worried because I thought the uworld questions were too easy (after I had been using it for a month), but it turns out that I was just learning from the rationales and also learning HOW TO EVALUATE the questions. Passed in 78 questions and the nclex was a piece of cake. Only reason I got 3 extra questions was because of a couple of dumb blunders o n super basic questions. Whole test took 45 minutes! Uworld is SOOOOO worth the money. Just allow yourself plenty of time to read every rationale!!!

Passed NCLEX January 2017!! Thank God!
I used Uworld only! And it helped me SO MUCH!! 100% recommend it! best advice I've ever gotten in nursing school was to use Uworld. Amazing app! I think it's 60$ for 3 months. Worth every penny!
