For those who asked what materials I used to study for NCLEX the 2nd time

I read this great book called "NCLEX strategies and Skills by Nancy Didona and a book called NCLEX-RN New-Format Questions by Lippincott that helped me practice doing the "higher level" questions and give me the confidence I needed.

The strategies book was good because it showed me how to eliminate answers if I was unsure of questions....Honestly I learned so much from just reading the chapters- take breaks when you need them (I didn't do that first time either); (make sure if you get a lot of questions take a break and re-group. You can take breaks at ANY time, not just during scheduled breaks (I didn't read that)- and if you get all 265 questions and the computer still cannot determine competency it will go by the last 60 QUESTIONS.....so if you get more than 200 questions, take a break, re-group and answer the last 60 to the best of your ability- I gave up and started checking boxes!!!!!

good luck to you all!!!! Just remember a few things:

1. Scheduled breaks are good, but you can take a break at any given time to re-group. It counts against your time, but if you need it, take it....

2. Remember the answer is THERE. I used the dry erase board to rationalize and re-write every question so I knew it was asking me.

3. When in doubt, ABC's, safety, Maslow's hierarchy......

4. Back to basics......study all of your safety stuff, precautions, etc.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!! Hope this helped!:D
