I took the NCLEX on Wed Aug 30. I about brokedown at question 50, because there was no way that I was going to be able to pass the exam. I kept getting the priority, teaching, select all that apply and infection control. The exam shut off at 75 after 1 1/2 hours and I just sat there for a few minutes. There was NO WAY that I passed because I only felt comfortable with about 2 of the questions that I answered. What a rollercaoster I have been on! Yesterday I started my game plan for taking the NCLEX for the second time, ie taking the KAPLAN course. But at 9:00 this morning my results were posted and I PASSED!!!! Even though I have been lurking in the forums for awhile and I have been reading the posts about how you feel when you are finished with the exam, I truly had no idea how hard it is to wait for the results. So the point of this post is to save your fingernails and read and re-read the sticky post about what to do while waiting for the results. If I can do it anybody can!!

First of all, I want to say congratulations to you, and secondly, it seems to never pay when you second guess yourself. :)
Hope you enjoy working as a nurse! :)

ARGHH! I was ok yesterday thinking "Oh, I'll be ok waiting 48 hours". Yeah, right. I took it 8/31, and today I'm really antsy to find out what happened. I truly do not know how I did. I was really relieved when I finished, but.......I wouldn't bet on either failing or passing. Why can't they let you know when you finish whether or not you passed??????

Keeping my fingers crossed for those of you still waiting on results. For tencat: don't know if it is true, but one of my instructors said that among the various reasons not to tell whether you passed or not right away is the possibility "extreme behaviors"....
I spend my 48 hours taking out the kids, cleaning the house and sleeping, but when the hour for results was approaching, I started to pray, and as I click that computer for the results, I click it with a prayer in my mouth, hope this helps.
