oh my golly! i took my nclex exam today and it was horrible (for me). i thought my computer would shut off at 75 just like what it did from my 3 previous exams, but it went all the way around 160. i had tons of prioritizations, medicines, infections, assignments, 4 med calculations, and 4 select all that apply. is this a good or bad sign? geez, i can't wait to see my result.

Hi yall I had all 265 ques again for 3rd time uugh,1st time75, 2nd time 265 uugh and today Oct 19!! I can say alot infection, priority, 3 pharm, 4 math, everything else is a blank right now. Alot of the ques I did know of the top from just looking by using Suzanne plan helped. Some did not make sense but I eliminated all the ones I knew were'nt the answer and chose the best one. All in all it was not bad. Thanks for all the support. Mrs. Matilda RN.:spin: I happy that it is over halleluh. A special thanks to God for keeping me calm throughout the test keep praying now it is in GOD and sit and wait 48 hr .

Hey Matilda just would like to know how did you feel coming out of the testing center? Did you feel as if you knew the material after the 3rd attempt? Did you find the 3rd attempt better or worse than the other 2 attempts?

congrats!!!!:spin: how was your exam questions? hope you can share with us your experience
my exam questions, to me, started out on the difficult side. i had over 200 questions. it was just hard for me to get my rhythm. once i did, and realized there wasn't much i could do for my pounding migraine, i decided to hang in there and then, somehow, the answers came quicker and easier for me. i think it was just the thought of finally taking the mysterious nclex had me going at the beginning!
as i mentioned in other posts, i feel kaplan's program was very helpful only if you know content. the test is exactly what is means: you are being tested about your knowledge of your role as an rn-to perform safely and with the background knowledge of knowing what you're doing!
i honestly can't tell you what the questions were specifically, but i did have a pretty even sprinkling of everything-from meds, math, peds, maternity, various disorders, priority, psych, infection control, etc. the answers were not jumping out at me---some were very subtle. this means you need to know your content well. what i mean is, not in fine detail, but know and understand concepts ie, diet for ulcerative colitis, what teaching with pyridium, which ped pt. to see first given 4 with serious illnesses, etc.
    hope this helps.
keep studying, reviewing, learning. i tell you, it's worth the title!
the very best to all nclex-rn takers!

Thanks Barbara7809 =o) Something came up and I had to move my exam day to Tuesday one day earlier. I walked into the exam feeling confident that I had done everything I could to prepare and more. During the first half I felt good and could see that with each question I was getting a new topic and a more difficult question which I heard was a good thing. Then it passed question 75, 90, 108, eventually to 265. I started to get scared when I kept getting select all questions I must've counted at least 15 =o( To make things worse I saw a girl from my graduating class retaking the exam that same day. I've kept away from everyone and only told my BF and my parents that I had not passed my previous attempts. First I walked out of the feeling numb then reality hit me. "The computer took all 250 + 15 mock questions to determine I must not have passed." So I'm just waiting and preparing for the worst but this was my third attempt and I don't think I have the energy emotionally and physically to prepare and sit for the exam again. Everyone keeps saying the results haven't been posted but I have a gut feeling and it's not good. All I can do is pray and hope my prayers are heard.
