failed yet again...need HELP

hi,

i took my NCLEX-RN exam last July 8, and sat for 94 questions..and after the exam i was feeling a little bit optimistic about my results this time, but sadly today i just found out that i have not passed the most dreaded of exams..basicly now i'm going through the stages of grief and hopefully will be over by next week...

I am wondering on how to study for the exam, I've tried everything.. reading saunders, lipincott, mosby, kaplans q bank, ncsbn, reading the forums...after going through all that i am left wondering.. did i do something wrong to deserve this?.. i guess? (sorry self blame)..anyways.. i was wondering what kind of review should i do.. I feel like I am really lost here and i don't know what to do.... HELP please..

Next time try to make some changes on your plan:
*Go over all the rationales, right and wrong answers (write down the wrong answers, make your own study sheet)
*Review contents on the ones you get wrong
*Try Exam cram, I personally did not use it, but my friends did and said it was helpful
*Try a review course (expensive, but think about all the money you losing when not working as an RN)
*Think positive, tell yourself "I can do this"
*Exercise the week before the exam
*Eat fruits and vegetables
*Practice relaxation techniques (for me, my problem was anxiety, so I exercised before the boards)
*Prepare to stay for 6 hours (bring some snacks, vit water), that way if you go pass 75, you not freaking out.

Good luck to you!!!

yeah...i think exam cram is what i need.. i used to do it in college and in highschool and it always helped me out, i guess i just never really considered it as "good practice" well then again nothing new has been helping me out and i guess there's nothing else for me to do but to re read all the content.. i tried the review course from kaplan but that didn't work out great so

thanks for the advice.. i'm going to try it..

I just passed the boards July 3 for the first time with 75 questions. I think Kaplan is great. I followed their plan from beginning to end and it worked. Kaplan questions are mostly analysis and application, which will help you score points on the nclex. I thought, some of nclex questions were a little easier than Kaplan and some were about the same. I did all the Qbank questions as well as the Qtrainers. I followed the six-week plan they had from the workbook. I did between 100-150 questions a day, went over all the rationales. Certain days during the week, I would focus in weakest areas. I did use Lacharity book for prioritizing. I used Nclex 4000, which has great rationales, but the questions were too easy. I used Saunders only for pediatrics, which was one area of my weaknesses. Thank God I did that, I got 10 Peds questions on the nclex. I studied the meds by categories, which helped me tremendously, got 10 meds questions.
