Failed the NCLEX-Pn 3RD TIME!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am new to this forum. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have failed the test 3 times. I do not know what to do??? I am going crazy.

Please give me study advise? What should I study? How should I study? The exam all 3 times as stopped around 90 questions.

Can I get a job in the nursing field without passing my Nclex test?

I did a private course in LA for one year. I feel like a failure.

I there, we have something in common I failed NCLEX three times as well. I brought all these different study books, but I continued to fail. Finally I purchased a KAplan strategy book. It was great, it teaches you how to brake down your question to two ansewer. And how to pick the best one from those. It is the 08 edition and it on cost around 25 bucks. It reaally helped me. I passed the fourth time around. So don't give up, it can be done.

Kanda,

Just tell yourself it's not a matter of if you pass it, but when. I'd start off by looking for NCLEX messages on allnurses.com - they're very helpful.

You could work as a nursing assistant, but you need certification to do that. What I would do is focus on eventually passing. The NCLEX forum may have good advice on how to pass the exam. I wish you luck and love for the next go around!

Everybody,

I think one of the most important things to know for the NLEX is HOW to take it. This could easily be the problem, because it's one weird test.

I know. This is why the OP received some suggestions to visit the NCLEX forum. Some have used Suzanne's plan, and other strategies. I agree, it is a strange exam...something I would not have to experience again. I can feel the OP's pain.

I failed the test twice. I am going to take it again tomorrow 2/7/08. I hope that it will be my last time to take it. I am a single parent of 2, I am currently a full time nursing student for the associate nursing program, and I have been hired for a job that is pending on my results of this upcoming exam. So don't feel bad, hang in there and say a little prayer for me.

Ahh I take mine tomorrow, too! This is my first run and reading some of the posts.. I did a lot of reviewing, but I also heard from one of my class mates that recently took it 5 days ago that some of it isnt really how to take it.. some of it was off the wall and meds he didnt even know or heard of! If its breaking it down to two.. then I feel lost because even using Kaplans theres no way that only 2 are right ... but who knows ... good luck!

Damn gul

Hello all..I took my NCLEX on Feb. 5. I FAILED...i was so sad and still am...i dont even know what to tell my parents..they think I pass...so this is my plan since i have no face to show my parents..i feel like i let them down..i will leave them a note that i am sorry that i failed but i will promise to take it again and pass it.sounds good? lol...i'm going to stay at my friend's house in another state for 45 days to study..I didn't do that much questions and I was cramming..I did read the entire Saunders book which 1000 pages..but I guess I needed to do the practice questions both in the book and CD..that was my mistake..MY computer turned off at 85 questions..I thought I passd..I felt like the questions were easy...but they were also tricky..and some meds ive never heard of or seen of.lol...i guess i was wrong..i was too confident after the test..now look what happened..but i promise myself i will pass the 2nd time i take it..theres no excuses this time..i have to..really have to....since i've read the book now i will do 1000 questions a day..for 1 month..sounds good? let me know if you have any tips..thanks!!:typing no giving up!!!:yeah:
