Register Today!- Jun 12, '12 by johnmlorenzoQuote from LexiJYeah i completed the course and probably 85% of the QBank because i was working ( i guess that's no excuse ) but i did so and Congratulations i hope it really is a good sign and i hope you pass and have a better futureYou said you did the Kaplan review, but I am curious if you went through all QTs and QBanks and all rationales..?
Kaplan was all I used to review and I did just what they told me.. For every single question I missed, I looked up everything I could find on that topic - as in, if I had pernicious anemia and missed the medication, I look up the cause, population affected, medications, symptoms, etc... It took a LOT of time, I was studying 6-7 hours every day for exactly 4 weeks.... I took notes, wrote down little topics I wasn't familiar with, read through every rationale for every question choice since I found it offers additional information... 2 days pre-testing, I went through ALL my notes...
I took my NCLEX today @75 qs and got majority SATA and PVT with the good pop up, so I am hoping this is a good sign...

Im pretty sure you are almost there...for you to have taken past 150 questions means you were quite beating NCLEX but maybe still needs a little bit to go over the passing score... Now this is the time to gather everything and review again.., The best thing is they will send you a test score where you can see there where you almost passed and which onces that needs more reviewing...
You are almost there kabayan... Konti na lang

- Jun 15, '12 by arod213rd time test taker.. first attempt stopped at 85.. next attempt went to 205 and now stopped at 90.. i feel like everytime i get a SATA question im never positive of my answers.. and i feel like im guessing most of the time.. since i stopped at 90 im assuming i didnt answer the basic questions correctly in order to get up to the higher level questions..
any suggestions on what to use to become more familiar with the content part of the nclex and how to better answer those sata questions.. i use the true and false method but its kinda pointless if ur not familiar with the certain content of the question..

The book that really helped me with content is the Saunders Comprehensive. I read it from cover to cover.. pushing myself 1 chapter a day, after that answering the practice questions on the CD with Content area only...
DO not give up... When I first took the test some few years back, it would always stop to 75... then another time stopped at 86, then again stopped at 91... all failed... but I never stopped...I knew that if i continue some more that I would hit it someday...just continue pushing yourself forward..Last Saturday when i passed, the computer stopped at 180...

did you find out if you passed or failed this time? or do you need help in understanding the SATA questions?
and don't worry everybody fails sometimes in their lives you just got to get up and try again, a lot of good people here are very supportive because its doesn't only happen to you or me but a lot more people everywhere and they just keep trying again until they're successful like we will be soon :-) - Jun 16, '12 by johnmlorenzoQuote from Mitch Dizongreat advice mitch, yeah I'm standing on my feet again now and focusing more on the questions and how to answer them I'm using saunders too and its very helpful and i just wish to take the next one and make it count :-)hi arod21...
