thanks yvesul. I made a calendar before taking the nclex the second time. I studied like 2-3 hrs a day but I admit I was short of time to finished some of the long chapters in saunders, thinking I have to move to a different chapter inorder to cover everything before the exam. This time I should make a more attainable and more specific plan. Thanks a lot!

I used Saunders. I think the cd is helpful because it really gets you into the mindset of sitting in front of a computer answering questions.
I also found a local review course. You should try looking for one in your area. Maybe contact a local Nursing school and see what they use as a review course. Some are only open to new grads, but I know that there are some who are open to all/people who are retesting. Some will even offer tutoring for those who need it. It is worth looking into.
As far as everything else goes, I think you need to take a bit of a mental break from studying. Take a week to enjoy life, then get back into it.
And by the way, your english is much better than some Americans I know.

First, thanks for writing me. I found one local review course, they offer remedial course for those who failed nclex thrice but they're quite expensive. And I'm not really sure if they could help me but I'm gonna do some research on monday about them. Actually, i thought Suzannes Plan would be my last option but it's no longer available. .)-:

If I were you I would curse the hell outta that no good husband of yours. He's a piece of ****!! Maybe you should find another man who loves and cares for you. If he even cared he would of supported you with your current situation. Take my advice leave him because he is no good. Pack your bags and head over to your family in NJ. STUDY STUDY STUDY!!! and you will make it. Take Care!!!

i did'nt take the exam yet. but my friends told me that it was pretty hard. and i have known some people who did'nt make it as well. don't lose hope. you can do it next time. Just trust yourself and do not listen to people who are there to bring you down. talk to your husband about how you feel. this is the time when you really need someone. just always believe in yourself. and there are no replies here if we did'nt understand what you wrote. cheer up!

I am so sorry to hear about that! And I can understand you just fine My parents were the same way when they found out about me not passing after the 3rd time. They were really upset with me and it really hurt my feelings. But you can do it and you will pass!!! You just have to keep at it and stay positive!! Hi its not the end of the world yet i failed once but that should not stop you from striving harder...its just one heck of a validation fROm other places the most important thing here is that you have reached this far and you should be proud of it...studying nursing is really hard...goodluck though=) GODSPEED

Don't loose hope. I know you can do it, just try it again. One of my classmate pass the nclex-pn on his 10th time. If he give up, he wouldn't be a nurse now. He just try,try, until he got it.

hey! Don't listen to your husband!) I am really sorry that the closest person in your life is not supporting you...thats very sad...Tell him if he thinks that it is "easy" than he should try to pass some exam in different language than his let's say in german or russian!

I am foreign nurse too, didnt make first time, soon will be second time...we will see. Did you read all posts here? There are girls who didnt pass 3, 4 or more times and still fight some of them finally made it. Whoever know nclex know that it is hard.
