Don't give up, I have taken the NCLEX exam 4 times now, and I refuse to give up. I have submitted my information to the state board to re-test again. I think we worry about those around us and how they will respond to our failure. Look deep down inside you and remember why you chose to be a nurse, and that will give you more fuel to to passionately pursue the goal of successfully passing the NCLEX. Each day I write my name down on a piece of paper with RN behind it. You have to speak it, believe it, and achieve it. Your personal life will definitely take a different turn. You will lose some friends, but only those that are true will remain. Going through this journey we only need positive people who believe with us that we can accomplish the mission. Never, Never, Never Give Up. Just think a good Nurse goes all the way, she never quits on her mission.

Be Blessed and remember you are not alone (I felt the same way until I got aquainted with this site)

ACCIO-are you kidding me??? I will take the test for the fourth time day after tomorrow. It was very hard to find motivation to study-i tried praying, i tried self help stuff, lists, etc, etc. I too have been out of school for over two years! Just finding someone else in the same boat is so freaking encouraging-i thought that i was the only one!!!!!!!! So, if I don't pass this time, I will attack for the fifth time with ZEAL-please be in touch with me, so that i know that there is someone else out there!!! PLEASE???? My human resource woman at the hospital i work at told me "well, you haven't passed it in three times, so you better start making plans after you fail it this next time!" i was absolutely HUMILIATED. It feels so encouraging just to know that there is another kindred soul out there. Thank you.

I have also failed NCLEX 3 times! This is devastating! I never knew that a test could hurt soooo much and take such a toll on your life. I absolutely studied for hours....practicing approx. 200 questions per day using Saunders, Mosby and Sylvia Rayfield! I was hoping eventually to pass but I'm more confused now than ever! I failed the first time at 180 questions, second time 253 and third time 75. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! And most of all, I have poured my spirit out to God for help.....NO RESULTS! Now I'm at the point to take the Kaplan Review Course. I will keep praying and hope to God that my prayers will be answered on the 4th attempt!!! If you believe in God and the power of prayer....Please Pray for me, AVSRN

Trust me Im right there along with you.. I am about to apply for round 4 of nclex rn and feel mre discouraged than ever before. Ive been anxious, nervous, depressed and every other emotion in the book... but as my priest said this past sunday in church.. your hardships and stepping stones in life only bring you closer to the struggles jesus over came.. it really made me think that if jesus could go through all that he has maybe just maybe I can pull myself together and take this test one more time.. Not to mention Im realizing that working retail and making a quarter of what I could be making totally sucks bc I get no respect or anything..

I believe in you and will add you to my list of prayers

Hey hey, I am in the same boat, only difference is that I have failed it twice. I failed last time in June 2005. So it has been well over 4 years. As of lately, I started thinking about it agin; and believe me it was not easy. I was so scared and hesitent to get ready for it again. I did, anyhow, make a decision of taking the exam again and started studing for it again. I sent all my papers and got my ATT. I enrolled in Kaplan and finished it on the 23rd of November. Today, 24th Novemeber 2009, I picked a date to take the exam again. It is December 16th 2009. I am very scared and excited at the same time. Some times, it feels like this is the time and I will pass it this time; but other times it feels so scary. What if I fail again? But I think we have to do it. We edured nursing school, our destiny is to be an RN. Easier said then done, but I am gonna say it "don't loose your hope and try again", May God be with you this time and good luck.
