Nursing Students NCLEX

I am getting very discourage here , I have taken the test a few times and still failing it. This time the test stopped at Q143 other times 85 or 205. I studied all that I can and could. I had several resources to study from but this time around, I only used one book Saunders Edition 2. Maybe I used the wrong book, per this site, I have. Yes, taking the test and failing it a few times does make you feel like a loser and when you done so well in nursing school and then you have to take this test that is from h*LL and determines if you are fit to be a nurse. This is not fair, I want to be in my nursing field and helping people. Some nurses are in it for the money, I want to help more than receive the big dollars. Although the pay is good!!! Information is correct on here that it does not matter where the question stop at you could still pass or fail. Well, I have done all I could by myself, now I think I will start Suzanne's plan. It appears that a lot of people are successful after Suzanne's plan. Getting Saunder's Comprehensive Review for PN exam 3rd Edition today and study like a dog again. I want give up, I spent a lot of time in nursing school and clinical's, time away from family to just quit!! Anybody got any comments, feel free to send me a message....

dont give up! i too took the nclex pn a few weeks ago for the first time and failed, i was devastated. i am completeing the first tip for suzannes plan right now and from what i hear its a very helpful program! its actually givin me hope! keep studying, as i will do, and hopefully suzannes plan will work out for the both of us.. good luck to you!

I want to do the plan! But i think im 2 late

Don't give up. You have the new edition of Saunders. Now make plans to start your study over and stick with your plans. You can do this.

Why is it to late bebe 5? Suzanne's program is 45 days! I guess if you are getting ready to take the test anyday now than you are to late but this form is always here and Suzanne's plan is here if we do not succede on the TEST!!! Keep your chin up!!

caliotter3 I went out yesterday to try to get Saunders Comprehensive Review for LPN's 3rd edition and they did not have it at Boards. I am going to another bookstore today to see if they have it. Borders did have Saunders Q&A's for LPN's but I know that is the incorrect book. I took my test on 02/02/09, received my failure papers on Friday. I sending off my re-registration papers today. I will not give up and I hope that Suzanne's plan help me like it has helped others on this form. :nuke:

Good luck to you too krystald409. I still got to find the book. I will be going out today and want stop until I find the book today and start taking the quiz at the end of each chapter. Keep me in formed on how you are doing and I will let you know also. Keep your chin up!!

too many resources can be very overwhelming. Just use the Saunder's Comprehensive Review PN 3rd edition. don't give up coz you'll get through it. I will be taking my 1st nclex pn exam as well in 2 months and I will be doing the suzanne's plan. I just need 15 posts

I have put everything away that I ever used to study with before. I got the Saunder's Comprehensive Review PN 3rd Edition today and that is the only book I will be studying from. I took test on 02/02/09 and so it is time that I give myself a week break as I seen on this forum that is what to do and then start studying again. I wish you all the luck on your test. Keep your chin up!!!

Suzanne's Plan as written exactly as she says. Make a commitment of your time each day set that time aside as your study time and stick to it. Think positive thoughts. Picture yourself as successful and as a nurse. You graduated from a nursing program which is an accomplishment in itself so be proud of that. You can do this.

Thank you Melinurse for the encouragement! I will be sticking to the plan each day and setting the time aside for it. I loved nursing and I still do. I do picture myself being successful and a nurse I've done this for a very long time, it kinda gets depressing after a while though but I keep right on re-registering and paying the retake money. I am proud of myself that I did complete nursing school successfully and I don't have to go thru that anymore. :):)

Since you failed, you have up to 90 days to retest. Do the plan exactly as suzanne says following her time schedule and number of questions. I got so sick of doing those questions every single day during the week. I took the weekend off to give time for the info to soak in and started on the questions again on Mon. Three days before the exam, I completed my last set of questions and took the next two days off. I passed. I read many posts concerning her plan and one thing I learned was that those who followed it exactly as she said, passed...most of those who did not follow it like she suggested did not. After you get done with the review, you have a certain amount of questions to do each day. Thats it...no big deal. I did only that. I used no other books along with it or did any other kind of review with another company. It seemed too easy to me but I placed my confidence in her experience and I am a nurse!
