Failed NCLEX for the 3rd time. Need some help with tips please

I honestly only studied the first 2 chapters of the Kaplan book, which was test taking skills. Pretty much a giant flow sheet. You're likely not lacking in knowledge content (I personally don't think content is the priority) you just need to know a certain minimum and the rest is test taking skills... Priorities ABCs all that junk.

I only did Kaplan, and the strategies were SO helpful. It's worth shelling out the money for full access. I also purchased a copy of their Content Review Guide (and studied it cover to cover), but little of what I'd studied there was on the NCLEX. It was the strategies and HOW to answer the questions that I found most helpful.

I took it three times and passed the 3rd time just recently. I credit majority of my success to ATI's virtual tutor program. Also I downloaded a review book from iTunes called NCLEX Made Simple and read over a "study guide" I found on here. The book from iTunes gives you an outline of stuff you should remember and the study guide points out important info with mneumonics to help you remember things. If you want i can email a copy of the review sheet.

Hi! I passed my NCLEX on the 2nd time around last month. I was also on the verge of losing hope and not passing the test but thank God I was able to. I can give you some of my tips which I have also read in some testimonials and it really helped my alot.

I started reviewing july and took my NCLEX on november. so almost 4 months with weekends. Theres no day that i didnt study or read anything or answered quiz questions. I study 4-6 hours a day. I did SAUNDERS COMPREHENSIVE BOOK 5TH EDITION. they say that it's the "nursing bible" well i can attest to that because I read it everyday, over and over again. Esp the topics that i wasnt that familiar. Also during my first month, i answered 200 questions from saunders also included in that book. and on my 3rd and last month i do 300plus questions a day still the same questions. Also, i watched Michael linares' videos on youtube he's good when it comes to making complicated topics to simplier ones. also, i bought a kaplan book, answered it 2x and read the la charity book and answered it also. The last but not the least, PRAY. study hard and pray HARDER. i dont know if youre a roman catholic but if you are. I did novenas to st. expiditus, prayed the rosary every night. and HAVE FAITH IN HIM. you can do it!! god bless and dont lose hope :)
