I am a LVN student, so I may not be much help to you, but the Saunders NCLEX PN review book is very helpful. Also, maybe the KAPLAN review prep course, though I know its pricey. I wish you the best and hope you will pass on your next attempt. Good luck, and destress for now if you can.

I did the ATI tutor it cost around $200 about 4 years ago. I found it very helpful. Passed my nclex on the first try, minimum questions and in less than an hour.

Standard advice is to do question after question, after question, after question, studying all rationales for the answers, until you have the material coming out of your ears and to take the test over again until you are successful. Good luck.

Hi Maria , are you using the NCBSN detailed test plan? I sent you a PM as well

LuckyCharm , I remember following you from the beginning..hello :) Have you taken the test yet?

Hi there! I actually haven't. I moved and relocated over 100 miles away. Transferred some courses, continuing my studies at a new school. So my graduation will be in 2016. I love my new school and im doing great academically. Have you taken the exam, or are you studying? Hope all is well with you.

I have not taken the exam yet. I graduate Jan 2016 and starting to prepare for NCLEX now. I am in the 5th level which is strictly NCLEX prep at my school which I find a waste of time their way. (do lots of questions /not focus on rationales) I started studying my own way. Glad you are doing good and adjusting to your new school. Keep us posted :)

Invest in the 'NCLEX 5000' reviewer program. I used NCLEX 3000 back in September, then went back to my school and found out that there is actually NCLEX 5000 already. I used that program 100% of the time I had studied for the NCLEX-PN. It totally prepared me for all the select all that apply questions on my exam! I was super confident in most of my answers! Also, whenever family, friend, coworker, or anyone I speak to has a question about health or how the human body and all its systems work, I do my best to teach them whatever I can remember. Then just to make sure, I go over it with them in a book or... google :p -- If I answer their questions correctly, I get to feel good about it. If I get it wrong, I still feel good about it because I learn more about whatever their question is. Same with medications. Watch TV and note down all the new meds that appear in the ads and what their side effects and purpose is. Doing that saved my butt on one of the questions during my exam! I always studied in an EMPTY room. Just a table, a desk, and my laptop with the internet disconnected until I was done studying for at least two hours a day. I did 75 questions a day, then started doing as many as I can leading up to my test. I always made sure I had a happy tummy, lots of rest during the night and in between study sessions. I also avoided isolating myself from friends, family, my girlfriend and I didn't give up my hobbies. I made time for them whenever I was able to. Don't burn yourself out, stay happy and believe in yourself.

I was not the brightest student in my class, or in school for that matter. I took my NCLEX in September, three years after I graduated from my LVN program. I slowed down but I never lost sight of my goal of becoming an LVN-- But by all means, please stay consistent in your studies and do not be like me. I screwed up a lot. My supportive loved ones always encourage me to finish anything I start no matter how long it takes, so that's exactly what I did...

I passed my exam with the minimum amount of questions on my first attempt and I cried when I received my passing letter. I spent a whole day believing I was in a dream...

Like I said earlier.. I was confident throughout my exam, but when my computer screen shut off on me after question #85, all that confidence went out the window because I freaked out and asked myself, "WHY DID IT SHUT OFF AT 85? DID I DO THAT BAD?"

I hope this helps you out! Keep pushing for your license. You'll make it!

Oh yeah, and make sure you study the rationales!! Best wishes!

Congrats to you ... It's not easy to pass this test some people can get it but other it comes harder to pass. I finish school in 2013 took my first test in March 2014 ... no I haven't pass yet but trust me I will never give up until I become a LPN .
