Failed the first time...now what?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I failed the NCLEX and wanted to know how long the whole process takes to sit for another test. I waited about 3 months to get my first ATT...since this is not a new application will it be quicker? I know I Cali the BRN states you have to wait 45 days before retesting.

Also I keep reading about a 35 pg study guide but have yet to find it....can someone direct me? :)

Thanks in advance!

Send me ur email address i can email u the study guide

Can you send it to me too, please!

Anyone here who had to retake the NCLEX in Cali?..I was just wondering how long it takes to get the ATT?

I can't be 100 percent sure so hopefully someone from California can enlighten further. I thought Cali was one of the states that requires you to wait 90 days between tests and not 45. Again not sure but I remember reading this somewhere on the boards.

Edit: Although I think you get the ATT pretty fast if not mistaken.

My failure letter from the BRN stated you need to wait the minimum of 45 days between tests....however with the long wait to get an ATT these days and NCLEX test dates filling up fast I think it would bring you closer to the 90 day mark. But was curious to see what others have been waiting so I can prepare myself mentally!

Hi Cali2014rn,

I'm sorry that you have to go through the whole NCLEX ordeal again. I just took my NCLEX on 3/24, got the good pop up from Pearson Vue, but have not received my official results. You don't have to answer my questions if you don't want to. I was just wondering, how long after you took your NCLEX that you found out you didn't pass? How many questions did you get on your first attempt? Did you get a good pop up from the Pearson Vue Trick? Classmates who took it the same day as me heard back by the next day but I'm still waiting. I'm so nervous that I didn't pass it was a hard test. =\

Hey well I think you are in the clear as long as the pvt shows the good pop up! I got a letter from the brn exactly 1 week after my test date. I had 265? S and the bad pop up which means the CC screen!! Good luck!! Most people I know that have passed have their name posted on the brn website within a few days!!
