ERI World NCLEX Review Is it worth the time?

If anyone has used ERI World NCLEX review and could tell me your view on the online course, that would be great. Our school makes it a mandatory part of our curriculum. Some of my classmates are electing to utilize an additional company for the NCLEX preparation which makes me wonder should I jump on the band wagon with them or should I just stick with the 4 day ERI NCLEX program. Thanks for taking the time to respond. All my best, bunnyinsv.

My school has used the ERI remediation & CAP testing throughout the entire nursing program. At the end of each course we've been required to do the review & take a post-test...it's pass or fail & is mandatory, students who don't pass are held back. This next class has a mandatory 40 hr. PreRN NCLEX review with pre & post-tests. Personally, I'm not very impressed with the ERI reviews to this point...I can get more out of reading review books like Saunder's. The testing is a little more difficult than what our instructors give in class. I've heard others compare it to NCLEX & say it's not a very good prediction of how you'll do on the boards, but I personally can't say...I haven't taken boards, yet. My class is also going to do preparation with another review course...we've already booked it for the entire class. Speaking just for myself & only because of the experience I already have with the past ERI reviews, relying on other sources for serious NCLEX prep is a good idea...JMO. Also, one of the moderators for allnurses, Suzanne, has a study plan. You can find alot of info on that in the NCLEX forum. Good luck to you...

I think the other posters are being kind by saying that he/she is not "impressed" with the review material. To answer your question, ERI has review modules etc. on their website (Audio, Video, Tests) which students at my school are allowed access throughout the program because we have to take various ERIs to progress each semester. We also have to take the ERI NCLEX before graduating since apparently it is a good indicator if we pass/fail the actual NCLEX. The exams themselves are challenging, which I do not mind. However, the review material provided and feedback given is just plain BAD! I use other materials to enhance my readiness. GL.

At my school we have had to take the Caps at the end of some courses and we have to take an exit with ERI world to graduate. Sometimes eriworld scores correct answers incorrect and incorrect answers corret. This has caused some students to fail the exit and not graduate. Watch out.

I am not kind, just honest. ERI is a waste. Get a saundrs book or goto Kaplan or Hurst.

That is exacted what happens. I remember a question on our Exit that asked to type in numbers for a calculation question. They gave the safe range dosage for the drug but the order was out of that range!!! How to answer a question like that? I just type in 0, but I later saw in the practice test and the insane high out of range dose was the answer!! ERI is a lazy and inaccurate way for school administrators to judge.

I am actually scheduled to take the Exit ERI exam on Monday. I feel that the practice tests and the CAP tests are a waist of time. The material given by ERI is absolutely impossible to sit for long hrs to watch or listen to. I also figured that there would be a book furnished to help with studying for this exit exam. Evidentally not. So, I will definately let you know how the exit exam goes.
