Re: ERI World NCLEX Review Is it worth the time?
My school has used the ERI remediation & CAP testing throughout the entire nursing program. At the end of each course we've been required to do the review & take a post-test...it's pass or fail & is mandatory, students who don't pass are held back. This next class has a mandatory 40 hr. PreRN NCLEX review with pre & post-tests. Personally, I'm not very impressed with the ERI reviews to this point...I can get more out of reading review books like Saunder's. The testing is a little more difficult than what our instructors give in class. I've heard others compare it to NCLEX & say it's not a very good prediction of how you'll do on the boards, but I personally can't say...I haven't taken boards, yet. My class is also going to do preparation with another review course...we've already booked it for the entire class. Speaking just for myself & only because of the experience I already have with the past ERI reviews, relying on other sources for serious NCLEX prep is a good idea...JMO. Also, one of the moderators for allnurses, Suzanne, has a study plan. You can find alot of info on that in the NCLEX forum. Good luck to you...
