i pretty sure time does not matter if you pass or fail some people are naturally fast test takers even the amount of questions cant determine if you pass or fail some people can take 75 questions in an hour others it takes 4 it just depends on how you test!!

You have 6 hours for the NCLEX-RN, so anything less than 6 hours doesn't affect the exam's outcome either way.

what i heard is, they (BON) try to determine how quick are you for all the nursing responses in different emergency situatuations, so the quickest/shortest time you analyze each question, the better.....

I don't believe that is true; besides, not all questions deal with emergent issues. It's a good idea for all test takers to read the NCSBN candidate bulletin, which you can download from the Pearson Vue website -- that document goes into detail about the NCLEX exam, and it explains how a test taker's ability estimate is determined. It's based on the percentage of items answered correctly and the difficulty of the questions administered.

Sorry, but the time that one takes to answer a question is not a part of the final outcome of the exam. This is not how the exam is given.
I find it quite amazing at all of the different mis-truths about the exam that are actually out there.

Yes it really doesn't matter how long you take to sit the exam, as long as you finish within the 6 hours. I sat and passed mine in May this year. It took me less than two hours and I answered 75 questions before it shut off.

U CAN RUN OUT OF TIME AND THE COMPUTER WILL DECIDE IF U PASS OR FAIL BY THE QUESTIONS U HAVE ANSWERED.

If you run out of time the computer looks at the last 60 questions answered and makes a decision on them
