When one tests on Wednesday, they normally never receive their results before Monday of the following week. This even if the BRN is open on the Friday.

Once you write your exam, the results are then received by the BRN and then entered into your file. File then needs to be renewed by a human before any license will be issued. Add into it the fact that the average wait time for the RN license is actually ten days, earliest is three; and it can take up to a month.

When one writes the exam on Monday or Tuesday, then they have a chance of getting the license that week.

This is also a busy time of the year for them, those testing from the December graduates.

Best of luck to you.

i was wondering the same thing too. i've already been waiting for over 2 weeks (took the test on jan 20th and my school just sent out my transcripts earlier this week).

guess i have to wait until next for some good news, hopefully!!

good luck to you!

I assume you are talking about the CA BRN. The state of CA is furloughing state workers on the first and third Fridays of each month. CA results take longer than other states anyway, from seven to ten days at least. I doubt that the Friday office closing will have much of an effect on when you get your results. Good luck.
