Does anyone ever really feel ready to take the NCLEX?

I'm just curious as to how many people actually feel extremely well-prepared and ready to take the NCLEX. I feel as though there is always more studying you could do LOL. Did you feel ready to take the NCLEX?

If you were to ask me, my answer is no. No way someone feels prepared for the boards. Yes, they may feel ready as they go inside the test room but I guarantee you, once the hard questions pops up, they're gonna wish they could have studied more. LOL!!!

lol! Good point. I'm just nervous because I'll be taking my NCLEX for the 2nd time this upcoming Wednesday. I've been studying for a while now but I just don't feel ready.

TOTALLY AGREE. I felt that I knew just about all of my theory except for some medication. Why did I get so many med questions on the exam. As far as the other questions, the content was not hard. the difficult part comes when you have to narrow your answer to two, then choose the correct answer.

Which one are you taking? RN or PN?

Good luck!!! Follow what your gut says if it ask you a question you don't know. And take your time answering each question. Don't look at which one is the answer. Weight each options first then pick your best answer. May God and the angels be with you. Good luck again.

I'm taking the RN exam Thank you for the advice!! I hope that I will have wonderful news next week Friday to share on the forum. The stories I read on here and support I get have been such a blessing.

I suppose I am also trying to muster up my courage. I fear that I may end up taking all 265 questions again. I try not to think of the worst case scenario but... if it happens I just need to stay calm and do my best not to hyperventilate right? lol

You got it right! LOL!

Do your best each questions and if you pass 75 and it still keeps asking you questions, sit back if your tired for a minute and answer each questions carefully because you haven't failed yet if you keep getting questions. Once you pass 75, try to answer each questions carefully as the computer is trying to determine whether you grasp nursing or not. My friend went all the way to 265. She told me when the computer said she can take a break, she went and washed her face, took a deep breathe and told her self she will pass.

After all, most of the good nurses on the field didn't pass the first time. Goodluck!!

I answered so many questions that I just couldnt do not one more. Then i knew I was ready. I used Hogan's Comprehensive disk. These question mimic the actual NCLEX, maybe a little harder. Questions help, actually studying material didnt so much.
