Do you pay again? $$$

  1. When you fail the NCLEX the first time, do you pay again to re-take it?

Are you talking about paying for the exam or having to pay to reapply for your license? Yes, you have to pay take to take it again. My state uses Pearsonvue. I failed the first time, and have to pay another freakin' $200.00 to take it again. What a racket! IMO, they should only charge you a one time fee regardless of how many times you take it. Just my 2 cents.

I mean, taking the NCLEX exam. When you take it and fail it the first time, do you have to pay to take the test again? or do they allow you a "grace re-take"?

I had to pay another $200 and $75 to something else to retake. My date is coming up. Even though I've paid once and failed--have to pay a 2nd and so on after.

Do you have to pay the state license fee again as well as the $200 to Pearson Vue?

Like I said, if you went through Pearsonvue to take it, they will charge you another fee to take it again.

    Unfortunately, yes......

I'm still waiting on my ATT so I can take it the 1st time.......... They say it's better to take it within a month of graduation but that's impossible.....

Hmm. I guess I was thinking that I would try to take the exam now, even though I don't feel *ready*... use it as a learning experience and just take it again after the waiting period, but study more so that I would feel *ready*. Maybe that's not a good idea after all... (it'd be an expensive "learning experience") I guess I'm just anxious to get it over with , but I'm not prepared for it yet.

Sorry you guys failed, I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Try again and good luck - if you've come this far, you owe it to yourself to try again. At least, that's what I would tell myself.
