Published

Hello, I will take nclex-rn July 18, 2005. I took kaplan live and now doing online review . I have saunders, lippincott's,NSNA,FRYE'S 3000 BULLETS, MEMORY BOOKS and more. I really couldn't afford kaplans, but I took it any way. I wanted to know from the new nurses did kaplans help any on nclex? I am going to take learningext when I get the money. I don't feel as confident as I did when I took lpn nclex. :crying2:

Specializes in LTC, ER.

two nurses i know that took kaplans said that it helped alot. they said they felt more prepared- they passed- one at 75, the other at 265.

i know exactly what you mean about feeling less confidant about passing the rn boards as you were about the lpn boards, i felt the same way.

good luck!

I took Kaplan the first time after failing, & I failed the second time. BUT, I cannot blame Kaplan. I don't think I studied it the way that I should have. Well, I KNOW I didn't. For this time, I used the Coursebook & the Question Trainer CD, along with Saunders CD. I was not able to use the Kaplan strategies during my test though.

Two of my classmates really sing the praises of Kaplan. They said it really helped them a lot. I liked the Coursebook. The questions on the CD are really worded like NCLEX, but it focuses more on getting you to use their strategies. But it's good for practice anyway. The Saunders CD is what I mainly used to answer practice questions. Good luck.
