Daily Study Until NCLEX DAY TUESDAY ! =D

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Okay so I officially have 3 days left until the determining day of my life!!!...Tuesday I will be taking the NCLEX examination for the first time!..Up until today I have been doing nothing but questions and reviewing rationales mainly through Kaplan and some on flashcards that I received from my preceptor.

Today I started a little late and did Qtrainer #7 which was 265 questions I finished with 50 minutes left on the clock and a score of 72.45% which I feel pretty good about at this point because I understand the rationales and why I picked the answers I did.

I plan to go over those rationales again and also review other rationales from the other qtrainers and qbank questions that I have done. I have a lot to cram into these next two days because I am going to take Monday off to relax and not stress too much. I plan to get my toes & eyebrows done, watch a movie and get a good nights rest...(but who knows I'll probably still be studying out of habit lol)

I will be updating this as the days go on about what I am doing to get ready for the BIG DAY!!!...

All I ask is to include me in your prayers and I also want to say thank to everyone out there who has given me advice and uplifting words allowing me to feel that much more comfortable about taking the NCLEX!!

Thank you I will be praying for us both! :) If you don't mind me asking - what time do you take yours (mine is 8 am Pacific time)? I will be wishing you the best. I am going to keep working on reviewing content tonight & today I took QT 7 and got 78% so I'm feeling a bit better. Tomorrow I'll take the readiness exam, see where I sit.

Your scores are awesome!!! I take mine at 8am Eastern Time...I hope all of us do great. let me know how you did on the readiness test.

i think you will be fine my school used kaplan as a resource and said 60%

and higher are good indicators that you are ready! what did you make on trianer 6

On QT6 I received a 74.5%. I am still going nuts over here though because on some of the qbank test that I take I get 50% on it still =( so heart wrenching but then my overall score is a 61% still yucky score though that has me apprehensive of how I'll do on the actual NCLEX but I've watched videos about how the CAT exam works and maybe itll work in our favor since it is geared towards our abilities?!?

@kemifair I am right there with you enough with the practice lets get it on!!!...lol when do you take your exam?

Thank you! :) I have yet to take readiness test - gonna wrap up some last minute review in Saunders. How long is the readiness test btw - I hope its not too long cause I'm really exhausted. I have to confess I haven't done much of the Q Bank but at this point I'm tired of it...I feel like I have done the most I can in the short amount of time I have. Maybe I'll do some tomorrow though. I have an average of 66% in the Q Bank with only 20% done though (yikes). So burned out!

I made 80% on QT 6 and 80% on QT 7 (just rechecked) so I'm hoping I can keep my composure and perform just as well on the NCLEX. I have to say I'm not a big fan of Kaplan all the time cause I think it's rationales and some of the questions are out in left field and I somehow doubt (I could be wrong) that the NCLEX is as ridiculous, but who knows, I may eat my words! I hope you are right and it all works out! :) When do you take yours?

I think the readiness i think 180 questions about 2-3hrs....and yeah I hope that the NCLEX isn't that ridiculous but from what I've read and heard the Kaplan is much harder and requires much more critical thinking than does the actual NCLEX...I feel like I have been preparing alot for this exam while doing alot of questions because I learn better that way than by reading but at some points I feel like I am under prepared still a little because I havent actually read from the book I am just hoping the NCLEX works in my favor at this point lol

Today I went over the study guide that has been floating around out there and it is awesome I must say.... I mean alot of it I have reviewed but it is still a great guide!!!! I also did two Qbank quizzes from Kaplan on a 50 question quiz got a 70% on the sample test focusing on prioritizing i got a 73%!! Feeling a little better seeing that I am picking the right answers and NOT second guessing myself!!!! One more day everyone!!!! tomorrow (1.14.13) I plan on waking up early looking through the Kaplan course book one more to see if I need to brush up on any topic really quick then relaxing for the rest of the night!!!! Almost there guys!

Where is the Sample Test focused on prioritizing?? I am freaking out over here cause I realize, looking through that study guide that I haven't reviewed enough about Parkinsons or Myasthenia Gravis. Feeling so overwhelmed :(

Just found it and took it lol! Got 87% so I am feeling much more relieved cause I heard thats a big part of the NCLEX - thank you for pointing that test out! :)

I was taking it pretty quickly and going with my gut, so I think that bodes well for the NCLEX if I can keep my nerves in order :) Good luck to all and esp you Dubs2012 - we can do it!
