I personally think that NCLEX-RN is an exam that you should put individual input into.

I did not join the Kaplan online course, or the video nor did i had any sessions with them, i just used the book, cds, qbank and question trainer. The rest of the effort should be made by you.

Though I don't discourage you from joining any review courses, i would advise you to ask yourself if you work better on a classroom setting or alone? Because some students find it distracting to go to class, some work better, and can grasp more if they work by themselves.

If you do decide to join a class for your review, you should continue studying by yourself when you get home. After all, yes the instructor was good, you understood stuff, you can answer his questions, but if you can't get good scores on practice tests, the result might not be good.

Bottomline: Know your nursing stuff well, and answer as MANY questions as you can. You need to answer them to develop test taking strategies to pass the exam. And of course, PRAY, PRAY and PRAY. After all, your efforts will not pay off without HIM.

Good Luck!

I prefer the classroom course myself. I like someone who can teach me how to pass NCLEX than an online course which you couldn't really ask any questions or get any input from the course itself. Heck, it's only another 50 bucks more

I also prefer the classroom course. The course will give you a diagnostic exam, and then the last day, they will give you a Readiness exam. And then you will get a probability in percentage of your chance in passing the Nclex. The classroom was a lot more helpful to me.
