Anyone who recently take nclex PN or VN

PLEASE ANYONE WHO RECENTLY TAKE THE NCLEX LPN/LVN. PLEASE POST WHICH AREA TO FOCUS ON . I'M SO STRESS OUT AND TIRED OF READING. I GRADUATED IN MAY OF 2006 AND I HAVE BEEN STUDYING AT LEAST 2 HOURS A DAY SINCE MAY. I HAVE BEEN USING KAPLAN BOOK, SAUNDER, INCREDIBLY EASY, MOSBY, AND NCLEX CRAM. I TEST NEXT WEEK AND MY SCORE IS STILL IN THE 60'S. THE PROBLEM NOW IS THAT I CAN'T FOCUS ANY MORE EVEN THE SIMPLE QUESTIONS THAT I USED TO GET RIGHT, I'M GETTING THEM WRONG. MY LEVEL OF ANXIETY HAS ESCALATED AND I CAN'T EAT PROPERLY BECAUSE OF ANXIETY. TOO MANY THINGS TO REMEMBER I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO .

I tested 7/18, i got between 90-100 Q's and i passed. for me there where Alot of meds prolly about 12. However that is a weak point for me and the computer focused in on it. Mostly there where pt teaching, what to reinforce. If your having a hard time with the easy questions take a day off and relax then get started again the next day. At this point, there is nothing you can do to "study" for the test. If i where you i would focus in on how to take the test, how to read the answers, how to find out what they are really looking for. Good Luck to you, We all know you will do well.

P.S. I was avg on practice between 60-70%

Focus on infection control, meds, disease process, normal values, find more practice questions related to prioritization (keypoint here is to know your ABC's) and delegation. NCLEX questions are basically practical applications and nursing knowledge combined altogether. So study whenever you can ..... it's best to be well prepared. Best of luck to you !!!

I just found out today that I passed! yippie!!! But anyways, I studied totally the wrong things...YOu should study pharmacology, especially new FDA approved meds, or meds you see in commercials (ex: plavix, fosamax, cialis, celebrex). Yeah, know your meds, cuz there's no guessing with those!! and then know infection control, like for what disease you would use what precautions (gown, gloves, mask, etc). Yeah, and the rest is just a little of everything, but most of it is critical thinking, so keep practicing those saunders, and what not. GOOD LUCK!!! I'm so happy right now!!! I totally thought I failed, maybe they made a mistake haha...oh well.

Prioritization, delegation, infection control are biggies, Kaplan is good for that.

I passed the nclex pn in June. It is hard to know what type of questions you are going to get. I personally studied my weak points. I used the saunders CD did the quizzes and exams and found out where my weak points were and then I proceeded to focus on that area for a few hundred questions. Good luck to you and take a break for a day or two and let your mind refresh.
