Anyone think Kaplan harder than NCLEX?

Hi all~ I take NCLEX on Tuesday the 21st and have been pacing myself in taking the tests on the CD and I have two left. I've only been getting 61-67 percent so far and each test I take my score gets a little lower, i.e. I just got 61% on test #5, so I'm worried that my scores will keep sinking. In my Mosby book I get better scores, so I was just wondering if I could get a glimmer of hope that if anyone who has taken both Kaplan and NCLEX thought Kaplan was at all harder than NCLEX or if they're comparable or if, oh no...NCLEX is harder than the Kaplan questions???

Thanks!

Hell yes it is harder! But in the 60% range is a very good score for Kaplan!!! I just took my boards monday and did kaplan class the two weeks before. I was getting those scores also. But you need to sign up for learningext.com. Same people write that program who write nclex. LOTS of priority on the nclex, don't get too much of that on Kaplan! I just found out I passed today! Study smart and study hard! If you were a ADN student, I suggest doing the learningext.com also because they have a section on managerial stuff and that can pop up on nclex also. GOOD LUCK. And remember: most likely you will walk out of that test thinking you flunked and cry for 24 hours straight, but we all did!!!!! You can do it!

Default Thanks!
Thanks so much! That makes me feel better. I am actually feeling kind of confident (not overly) that I can do this. I know I've studied hard and feel I have the ability to critically think through a lot of the questions. It's the pharmacology that's going to kill me I think. Congrats on passing!!!

I only got 1 pharmacology question. I thought for sure I didn't pass because of that. Just goes to show you never know what you are going to get! Just keep thinking positive!

I'm taking NCLEX on the 22nd, and just finished the Kaplan classroom course today. I have test 6 and 7 left to go, and saving them for this weekend. Like, you I've been getting in the 60's....actually got a 55% and 59% on test 3 and 4....Test 5 I got a 63%.

I've been doing Mosby's CAT and find the questions a bit easier, and I got a 94% chance of passing from that program after doing 75 questions.

I'm hoping that Kaplan is harder than NCLEX.
Good luck to you!!!

Heck yeah! I thought Kaplan questions were very hard! I have been doing questions on the Q bank from Kaplan and those questions are even harder than on the Kaplan CD. I took my NCLEX exam today....my computer shut off at 75. I had a variety of questions...so I think the important thing is working on strategy and content. Good luck to you.

Maybe it's me or my senses are going haywire! Is Kaplan harder or Nclex 'cause everyone starts their post with yeah but doesn't say which one is.

Sorry, I thought I wasn't clear. But yes, Kaplan is harder! But NCLEX can be difficult in that there is usually two good answers!
