Anyone take NCLEX recently who used NCLEX-RN 10,000 - Powered by PrepU?

  1. 0 Has anyone take the exam recently who used NCLEX-RN 10,000 - Powered by PrepU for studying? Our school recommended this program as it does similar adaptive style quizzes. I really like the program and have found it excellent when studying for exams.. but wanted some perspective as to whether people felt it really helped for NCLEX.. or if they would recommend an alternative. I do also have several books I have been doing questions from. I will likely be taking my NCLEX in the next month or so, and really want to make sure I am studying the best content! Thanks in advance

I take my NCLEX on June 5th, and have been using PrepU since the end of April. I've done over 2500 questions and I feel like it is helping me with critical thinking and prioritization, etc. I am also reading the Saunder's book and only have some Pharmacology and MedSurg stuff left to read over. The questions are really good because I always feel like I have to think about the answer, it's not just a recall of information, but it's not impossibly difficult. I will let you know if it helped me, but I believe it has!

I just found out i passed today! I took the NCLEX yesterday. That program really did help me, the questions on Mastery Level 8 are very comparable to the questions I had on the NCLEX. I got to level 8 on all the Client Needs sections, and ended up doing around 4000 questions. At level 8, I was getting scores between 50-70%, so I was a bit worried, but the level 8 questions I would say were harder than the questions I saw on the NCLEX. I did review Saunders but I believe it was most effective to do questions. I started off with 50 a day, and built up to 150 before the test. I highly recommend doing questions with this program and getting the mastery level as high as possible. If you have any questions let me know

Thank you Anna772 thats exactly what I wanted to know!!! Ive maxed out a lot of the content with a 6.2 overall at the moment and have done about 3500 questions, I will do more before I take my test. A lot of the main content is maxed out already at 8, and it's sometimes worrysome when I only get a 70%. So I wanted to know what others thought. I have also done about 750 questions with ATI quizzes as well as many questions with NCLEX books so I'm hoping that I am ready to go at this point. I'm just waiting on my ATT and will take the test ASAP. Thank you so much for your input and Congratulations!!!!!!

Thanks and Good luck with everything! Just continue answering questions everyday, and you should do great! Just make sure you know lab values, and delegation/prioritization

Took it today and got the good pop up! Fingers crossed finished in 75 questions, and I felt the same way as you, pretty similar to some of the harder prep-u Questions. Thanks again for the encouragement and advice!

It seems like you have access to a lot of questions but this program is a bit different. The questions get harder as you move through them, and I would arguably say that the level 8 questions are harder/at least as hard as the NCLEX questions I got. There are tons of SATA, and I feel this program really did prepare me. Going through the NCLEX, I saw similar themes and topics, and this is the only or one of the only softwares that actually adapts to you.

I took the NCLEX-RN at the end of January this year, and I used Prep U and found it very helpful! It was also a great way to get used to answering the questions on the computer vs. on paper. The higher mastery questions really make you think.

I also the Lippincott book, but only did the full length exams at the end to practice in case I got all 265 questions (it shut off at 75, but after those 180 question exams I knew I could have gone the full 265). I tested above 70% on all of them (and some of them have questions in them that I saw on Prep-U).

    Oh, and I passed .
