Anyone recommend NCSBN's online self-study?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Is it helpful? And which week plan (3, 5, 8, 15) is more beneficial?

Thanks!

Personally I did not like using NCSBN review, their Question section was alright. What I have been using is HURTS ONLINE Review, its is nursing school in 6 days.

Thanks for the input. I've heard about Hurst Review. As a matter of fact, a hurst review was taken place at my nursing school this past December, but I didn't attend because it was 300 bucks. Is it worth the spend?

NCSBN is a good review and it covers both content and questions. They have the best pharm review. For content they cover all the systems and also the blue print of the NCLEX. The questions are very similar to boards. They are the ones that write the boards. 3 weeks is good if you have the time to dedicate.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, if I choose to implement this review, I'll start right after graduation or 4 weeks before taking the NCLEX. Plus, it's only $50 and i'll likely study on the weekends too to make sure I have enough time. And just to make things clear, the 3-week and 15-week reviews covers the same amount of content (one is just at a faster pace) or does the 15 week-review cover more information? Thanks again.

The all cover the same content and questions. The only difference is the time and cost varies.

I used NCSBN review and only NCSBN review for my NCLEX-PN and got the good pop up on my first try...still waiting for officials, but I think it's safe to say I passed.

Specializes in LTC.

I used ncsbn and passed RN on first try. I looooooved it !

was the question on ncsbn similar to the nclex?

thanks ya'll! I think I just might try it. Would ya'll recommend this resource over any other self-study resources...such as Kaplan or Hurst? And congrats to you both on passing the NCLEX!

what about the difficulty level of the ncbsn questions compared to NCLEX/KAPLAN, and do they give you rationales for right/wrong answers with all the questions?

I did the NCSBN 3 week review. In my opinion if you want to pay the extra money to take Kaplan by all means do it. But I think NCSBN is the best. They have content review as well as Qbanks. Speaking from experience I did the review, read all the rationales and took the NCLEX and passed it. My NCLEX questions looked EXACTLY like NCSBN. I didn't think the kaplan qtrainer questions resemble the NCLEX. I did use the Kaplan strategies, but NCSBN is a winner and I would recommend it to everybody. and plus you can't beat $50.
