Anyone have these feelings?!?!

Is it normal to feel absolutely dejected after taking the NCLEX? I was holding my breath as I answered the 75th question and pressed the next button. It turned off!! I am feeling like I just wasted $200!! I have been a basket case since 0900 yesterday. I don't want to get my hopes up and think that I passed. Any advice to this stressed, freaked out, and now nearly bald and fingernail-less BSN?

I don't start school until Monday, but I can imagine that having the computer shut off at 75 questions can be a huge anticlimax. You have spent years working towards this day and then suddenly it's all over. The computer decided that you either know your stuff or you don't and you didn't get a chance to fight your case. Have you tried the PVT? Perhaps that will ease your anxiety a little?

I thought about doing the PVT but I don't want to get my hopes up. I don't want to get the cc screen and feel worse than I do.

I'm in the same boat. Took it yesterday, shut off at 75, felt like I failed it, got to my car and cried. Then drove to Walgreen's and cried again in the parking lot. Then drove home and cried a little more. Did PVT, got the good one and felt a little better, but I had a wicked h/a the rest of the day. I've been checking Pearson and BON q 15 min, nothing yet. So much for "quick view." I'm exhausted, and pretty sure I'm forming another ulcer with each passing minute...

    Hi all,
newbie here. What's the PVT? I'll be scheduling for 7/22 once I receive my ATT. I heard something from classmates that if you pay an extra $8 to Pearson (?) you can get your grade immediately?

Also heard something about checking the MA board of nursing website to see if I am approved for RN licensure ?

    please advise.

PVT = Pearson Vue Trick. It's like an unofficial, "back door" way of determining whether you most likely passed NCLEX (or not) before your results are available. Do a search on here and you will find thousands of threads. If you google it, you can find a YouTube video showing you exactly what to do.

My state has "quick view" -- so, when Pearson states my results are available, 24-48 hours after testing, I can pay $8 to see them. I tested yesterday and I am still unable to see quick view results.

My state's BON has licensure verification available online. I'm told they will have my status/license up around the same time Pearson has my "quick" results available, so I am checking both Pearson and BON, anxiously awaiting the official news that I (hopefully!) passed yesterday.

I hear you!! At least I have slowed down from yesterday checking q5 minutes!!! My state (IL) has a separate website that usually has results faster than PV. Classmates have gotten results by 5 pm the next day. :::crosses fingers::: here's to hoping.
