Anybody who took nclex in CA this august?

Hi! Anybody who took nclex in Ca this august and got their results? I'm extremely worried now. I took mine on Aug2 and still no mail from the BON. It has been 3 agonizing weeks of waiting. I don't have SSN and I don't know if they post your name if you don't have one. Should I start crying now?

Unfortunately for you, your name will not be posted for you without your SSN#, as California will not actually issue you your license until then. Which means that you cannot endorse over to another state either. This is why I do not recommend for anyone to initially license in California as a foreign nurse, unless you already have a SSN#. It just isn't worth all of the stress.

p.s. is your address in the US or overseas where they will be mailing your letter to?

in michigan, we can get our unofficial result from pearson 48 hours after taking the test but have to pay 8 bucks. i wonder if ca has that too?

So I don't have a choice but wait for their mail then. I'm just praying that it would come soon...NOT KNOWING is really a TERRIBLE feeling. I'm practically waiting for the result EVERYDAY for the past 20days now.

I'm in Cali right now on a B2 visa. I'll keep you posted. And thanks for the info!

good for you! how i wish california has that kind of service but they don't. guess i have to strengthen my faith some more...

I also took my nclex this month on the 18th and no news yet. From what I hear it can take anywhere from 2-4 wks. I also feel intense anxiety from the wait. I constantly check my name on the BRN site. I guess the magic word here is "patience" although it is easier said than done.

Yeah, you're right! In fact, I called up the BON yesterday. I was told that my file is complete and they have the result but have not mailed it yet...won't say if its PASS or FAIL. She said I might probably receive it next week. Don't you have SSN too?

I do have a SSN but you dont need it to check under license verification. I just go to license verification in the BRN website and punch in my name, but it hasnt shown up yet. I check for my name everyday. The BRN updates it everyday. I'm in California too so that is the only way, besides the mail, to check to see if we passed. Good Luck!!

I took the Nclex int he beginning of august on a friday and i saw my name on the BRN site 4 days laters (2 business days). I recieved my wallet card a week later and my papers 2 weeks later.
