There is always someone out there who claim they did but if I were you I would study...a lot.

I have taken the NCLEX PN board twice and failed.I was given many first, priorty, important ex: who to see first questions and would like help please. I have studied the Saunders NCLEX PN book 66 chapters and its condensed. It does not tell you how priortize. Does any one have any tricks or clues to watch out for?

which would be 1st, priorty ex HELP :) please

I know the abc's but for ex:

pt has a stomach pain

pt is requesting pain meds scale 1-10 pain is a 9

pt has a preop 45min prior to surgery

pt needs to ambulate

pt has a preop 45min prior to surgery what sort of preop? blood work and/or labs? a procedure or meds that need to be given?

pt needs to ambulate

is this the same patient you are using as an example or is this a kind of you have 4 patients and you need to prioritize who gets your attention first?

the nclex prep books won't tell you how to prioritize, that should have been taught and covered during your schooling. although the prep books often have rationalizations as to why the answers are correct/incorrect.

Make a long story short my school sucked

It was brand new ginnie pig

I had no intern for psyc, peds, maturnity

Or ER I paid 25k and feel as I am going to

Be the annoying hiree asking

Questions. The school paid for a

Company to come in and help us basically

Cheat to pass HESI test. This test is

Nothing compared to state I have contacted the school

But no students are replying because there all

Mad and don't want nothing to do with

That school so who knows if they will help

I will say that I am verygreatful

To have people like u that are so willing

To take the time and be so kind

Like most I waited almost a year after finishing school to take my first attempt at the NCLEX-PN. I too was nervous and feeling sluggish at studying. I had a full time job and a single mother of a special needs child, so when my testing day was fast approaching I wanted to reschedule, but I didn't. I took a review course that came at the end of my vn program that was included in the tuition and they taught us how to really "read" the question and tips and tricks we've all heard like eliminate two, abc's etc. Well long story short I did try to study but only here and there for three weeks and only did 100 questions in 2 days 1 week before said test. I went in the testing center as calm as possible and tried to remain calm and clear headed, remembered what I learned from the review course (tips/tricks of q & a) and took my time. The computer shut off at about 145-150 i wasn't really paying attention and then around I think 2 weeks later I got a letter saying I passed. Just remember they will test you on things you've never heard before like medications and you will not be able to study or know everything, so just stay calm and practice on thinking how to answer a question, e.i. does it involve abc's, is it psychological or physiological, etc. I know this is years later from the original post but for anyone that searched and found this thread i hope this helps.

I took a review class -Ready To Pass, and it was great.

I was burnt out after I graduated and didnt want to study, I took the class and two weeks later my NCLEX and passed

That was for my LPN,and plan to do the same with my RN

Good luck
