hi kewl nurse, when did you re applied?? hopefully i wont get affected too #Fingers crossed# i failed my first try and will re apply soon so will see.
I re applied last year -- April right after I found out I failed.
I actually didn't receive the letter the said they sent I waited for like 2 weeks, but because I moved
to another state I decided to call BON and inquire about it then they asked me my present address and they would send me a copy ( that usually as u to pay $30-- if I remember it right) but the lady is so considerate that she didn't charge me anything. After few days I received it already.

yap, i applied cali ..I studied in the Phils, BON just asked me to submit all the clinical hours and the usual requirements and it did approve within 3 weeks of submission. Is ur brother has social security number? if not, it will not processed...i dont think that our curriculum is lacking coz a lot of my friends there are nurses now, they were all studie in the Phils...What school in the Phils where he graduated?
Yea he have ssn, we both have upon entering the us as immigrants aftr 1wk we received our ssn, hmm for i beliv this is a new policy., we recently graduated last 2011 from uphsd. and then bon sent us some request forms to process papers in school and for it to be mailed directly to bon, and were the one who provided them our case forms and stuff (complete).. then turned out not eligible still. Haay .. Ur lucky u ddnt experience that, make the most out of the oppurtunity goodluck!

I applied in Cali back in '06 and thank God I passed right away. I know Cali is one of the easiest and fastest state to apply to. Anyway, I'm not quite sure why BON denied you. Did you ever call them to find out? Also once you failed all you gotta do is register again and not start the process over again. Tell your brother to apply in another state or try his luck in Cali again. Good luck!

they have a new policy pertaining to filipino nsg grads. hmm yea we did call them and that is their reason. Ur lucky that u passed the boards back '06. Coz now i know and im aware that many of us nsg grad in the philippines is having a hard time applying for boards here in cali. and pertaining to your comment that once you failed all we gotta do is reapply? Hmm that doesnt apply to us for this is the first time were about to take the exams here in the us, were both rn's in the philippines. Tnx anyway. ))
