Hello to all that have tested and PASSED! How exciting. I had to post something because I'm about to come out of my skin and need some words of encouragement, etc. I graduated in May, took the Kaplan review course at the end of May, had an Abdominal Hysterectomy the first week of June. I am currently trying to recuperate and trying (and I mean literally) to study for NCLEX. I took a practice test last night and made a 41%. I was APPALLED. Did I forget everything I've learned from nursing school? Did the anesthesia affect me in some adverse way? Am I pushing myself too hard? I don't know, I'm at a loss at the moment. If anyone has information on the effects of anesthesia and memory, please let me know. My husband thinks I'm pushing myself too hard, that I should focus on getting better and then think about studying. I can always move the test to a later date when I feel better about things. But, I think it's going to make me more anxious about it.
