Re: Am i doing the right thing before taking my NCLEX?
yes, i agree. that's perhaps a LOT of materials. honestly, i have the saunders 4th edition cd, and prentice hall's... but i only use it when i want to study my weaknesses... or if i want to concentrate on a certain topic. i on the other hand, used Kaplan (paid the $499) along w/their course book, La Charity and Exam Cram, and also Carl Balita's book as reference and as my grab-and-go book. i believe you can get a lot of practice with these, but they don't really cover certain "topics" you wish to focus on. i am certain though, that it all helped me tremendously.
with that said, i found my August 8th NCLEX-RN to be fairly easy, although i could say none of it could compare to the real one. i passed it with 75 questions by the way.
Goodluck!
(PS. i'm not US-educated either. i am currently here in California but finished my BSN in the Philippines, and did the review here in the US)
takecare and Godbless
