Almost 2 weeks of waiting...

As many of you know...I've taken my exam last Aug. 22 in California and I still haven't gotten my result. Tomorrow will be my 2nd week of waiting unless today is an exemption because it's labor day. My exam stopped at 75, had alot of select all that apply, prioritization, delegation. I've seen some members in the forum who took their test later than me and found out they passed 3 days after. I'm getting frustrated and depressed from waiting because now I feel that I probably failed. I'm sorry for all this I just need to vent from waiting too long and feeling that I probably failed again for the third time...

:cry: it's 15th day since I took my exam...until now I haven't got my result yet. Have you heard anything about your exam? I'm very worried now...but I'm still hoping that I'm gonna make it. Please let me know if you got yours. Thanks and God Bless!

Hey Wil, it's also day 15 for me. Nothing in the mail and nothing in the website yet. I know it seems like we're counting by the second but it really feels like my life is revolved around this "waiting" period. Don't worry I will keep you updated if I ever hear anything or get my result. I just want you to know that I prayed for both of us to have peace in our hearts because I think it's the only thing that keeps me going at this time. God bless you :)

I am new at this and I have been following your threads and others who have taken their exams the same week as I had and still no response. I got 75 questions just like you and I still don't know. Exam date for me was Aug 24, 2006. I am also in So. Calif. Yes, it is a torture to wait. I finally called CA BRN last Wed, Sept 6. I got a glimpse of little hope when the representative, placed me on hold to find out how long it normally take to post the result on the web site. However, when I called the following day, Thursday, Sep 7, the rep I spoke with said the the result is being mailed out that day and I tried to get a response from her whether I failed or passed, she said, "I am not allowed to give out the information."

Have you heard or received anything. Do you know if some people received their license in the mail and yet not posted on CA BRN website?

I think I am still hopeful to pass. It sure sucks to wait and wait and wait.

Hi Heather. I haven't called the BRN yet. If I don't hear anything by this Tuesday (my 3rd week), then I will call them just to make sure my application is complete. I didn't get anything in the mail on Friday, and nothing on the website either. Whether I passed or failed, I will keep you posted. At least we have this weekend to relax and not worry about our result hehe...

I personally don't know anyone who received their license by mail, yet not have their name on the website. However, I had a couple classmates who had to wait a month to finally get their result by mail, due to fingerprinting and transcript issues.

We still have hope. As long as we don't receive a letter saying "did not pass", then we still have a chance of passing :) Just keep praying...and prepare yourself for the worse. I even told myself to start doing questions again just in case I don't pass. Enjoy your weekend :) I believe that there is a reason why we have to wait this long. I hope that for those of us who had to wait this long, that there will be a light in the end!

Yes you are right. I will start studying on Monday and this time, I will not be so rigid like before. I did Kaplan and did 3500 questions that I thought was kind of useless because it repetitive after 1000 q. Then I did some Saunders but still I don't know if I did enough as I thought I had more than enough.

This weekend, I will take it easy as I have new approach to tackle the situation.

Hi Heather,

Thank you for your prayers. My school friend who had passed the nclex rn just gave up on me the other day. I guess I got on her nerves as I was trying to put some sense on the delay and still hoping to pass.

Well, I've been there. Luckily we have the quick results here, but I annoyed my husband so much during those two days- I can't imagine if I had to wait as long as you've had to. (I checked it about 20 times each day *hoping* it would be posted early. I feel so bad for y'all who can't access it.) He kept telling me not to worry, but they just don't understand unless they've been there! Either way, you didn't go to school for nothing, so try to remember that! I'm sure you did well.

For me its the other way around. My family are the ones who keep asking me whether I got my results already and my mom keeps on telling me to check the website even after I checked it an hour ago :icon_roll I try to stay calm and not get all worried about my result. I'm usually good at just dealing with it myself and being patient but some people can't wait to hear from me so they bug me, which is fine with me :D

I just came back from getting my eyebrows done. And one of the girls at the salon had taken her exam last August 17 and received her non passing result in the mail yesterday. She did not seem upset about it and it was nice to see that positive attitude. She had 200 questions and not that it matters because numbers don't really mean anything.

It updates once a day. A friend of mine who passed last year said that she actually figured out that it updates around 2-3am everyday. She stayed up all night to see the time it updates.

I can't believe it took that long for that girl in the salon to receive her result. Now I feel that we'll just be waiting for nothing :( And now I feel hopeless...And I thought we still have a chance even though we have to wait long. I'm not looking forward anymore.
