Students NCLEX

Published

hello all! just a little advice for yall taking nclex for the first time....of course know your content...and know it very very well....also PLEASE find a way to practice lots and lots of questions....ESPECIALLY select all that apply and priority questions....lacharity has a great book to practice those types of questions and im sure there are more resources out there. i have failed nclex twice and i know the content so well....and truly believe that if i would have practiced lots more questions....especially the alternate types....i would have passed by now.....GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND GOD BLESS:)

Hello Keldel, I am currently answering questions from Lacharity and oh my they are hard. I mean some of them are easy but any advise on how you would answer prioritization question? I do know to focus on ABC (cardiac and circulation) + V (vital signs), who is the most unstable client, likely going to die first, etc. Anything you can add more? SATA are just hard. I always get them wrong. Any book you could recommend to practice more on SATA questions? Thanks! BTW, I said from a previous post, I won't be posting or replying to any of the post because I'll be reviewing...but here I am. LOL. It just goes by saying, I love this website. Truly is helpful and you get a lot of help and encouragements.

Okay got it. Thanks! Ugh, I wish I have enough time. It worries me when someone says review content and you'll be fine. I've been just answering questions and my scores does seemed like I do need to review the content. I do go back and review them but mainly the ones I got wrong. I have enough time, I'd really review the whole book. Can you tell me what book you ordered on Amazon? I'll try to see if I can buy it at a local bookstore. I am taking Kaplan by the way and I'm scoring like in the low, mid, high 50's on the question trainers. Although my readiness test was 63%. I don't know what happened it just seemed like my scores are just going down the slope. But I'm staying positive and yeah, reading rationales helps a lot. Thank you for the prayer. I will do the same... stay focus with studying.

its called lippincotts nclex RN alternate format questions.....heard good things about lippincott....yes you definately need to know content...dont concentrate too much on those scores it will drive you crazy....definately know lab values too...i could go on and on about stuff to know for the test but everyone has different tests so i would just stick with what people post on here about what to know....DEFINATELY know infection control...what patients you can put in rooms together etc. type in the search bar "infection control mnemonics" and learn them....REALLY helps when taking the test bc there is a good bit of that on the test... when do you take the test?

Thanks. I'll see if I can get the book at barnes and noble or borders. I take it end of next week. I know it sounds not ideal to get that book since I don't really have enough time. Uve been going over infection control and I'm getting a lot of those questions of who would you room the patient with and I think I'm doing okay on that part. It's the Sata and drag and drop type of questions that gets me. What I did is write Every steps in order on a index card and I'm going to go over and over it. I'll google those mnemonics u said. I guess ill be sleeping late tonight again. when do u test again?
