Well I found out today that I failed the NCLEX for the 2nd time. The problem isnt just that I failed, but that I graduated 4 years ago. I took it once immediately and failed. Then due to life problems, I didnt even pursue the nursing thing again till I realized my time limit was almost up. Now it is up and I have failed. Is there any refresher course or action I can take other than going back to school for 2 years? Because I dont even really consider re educating an option! And WOW, to those who have passed, you guys are awesome, and incredibly smart. I did really well in the program, and vey well on my hesi exit exam, but cant cut it with this test! So is my whole degree in nursing a COMPLETE waste now? Is there anything else I can do with it?:c rying2:

Call the school you attended or the BON in the state you're in and see if they know of any refresher classes that you can take. The BON would be the one to tell you what you would have to do to be able to take the NCLEX again.

Don't give up. There have been others that the sixth time was the charm. Although I hope you don't have to take it that many times. If this is something you really want, then don't give up. Check out Suzanne's study guide for NCLEX; do a search on allnurses. There are many testimonials of people who have had great success with her program. Also, there is the KAPLAN study guide. Just want to say don't give up hope...You can do it...I graduated 2 yrs ago and took the test may 23rd and passed on first try...I did Suzannes Plan and it works!!...The Saunders Comprehensive book is very good for studying being you been out of school for 4 years..
