75qs I think I failed. =/

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

75q in 1.5hours.

i'm normally a fast test taker so I really tried to slow down with the NCLEX questions, even in practice.

I'm so nervous! I took the NCLEX this morning. and it shut off at 75 questions.

I got 19 SATAs, 1 ordering, and 1 calculation.

I got my LAST question wrong!!! =/ it was a pharm question. i thought I got it right until I looked it up and i was WRONG WRONG WRONG. it was clearly the wrong answer =/

During the test i was confident, especially in the beginning. and then towards the end i started second guessing myself. changed 6 questions! i wasn't supposed to but i couldn't help it!

and now i keep remembering questions and looking them up and getting them wrong!! especially the pharm qs =/

I did the PVT and i got the pop up "recently scheduled, please contact board for assistance." and supposedly that's the old good pop up?

I'm soo nervous. I feel like i'm the 1% that the PVT isn't true!

I won't even know until thursday or friday morning on the CA BRN.

Anyone pass at 75qs and got their last question wrong??

you passed. PVT is always accurate. Don't doubt the good pop up.

Try to watch a movie or something, take your mind off of it. Surely you passed if you got that good pop up.

i doubted my good pop up untill i got my passing result! trust me its good news. :) i suggest u go out and celebrate now!!! YAY!!!!!!

[color=#9933cc]i've read various posts pertaining to sata q's. whoever gets a lot of these type of questions, apparently did great on the exam. i'm sure u made it......congrats in advance! :D

Congratulations.:)

Oh goodness. We are in seriously the same boat. I took mine yesterday. Had over 30 SATA's. OVER THIRTY. After that, I stopped counting. They were every other question, and sometimes more. Actually, it started off with 3 SATA's in a row. And then it shut off at 75. It was horrible. I left almost in tears. Oh yeah, and I got the last question wrong. :(

However, I did the PVT and got that same pop up. So I'm trying to feel positive and happy, but all I can do is sit here and stress out and try to find my name on the MA license search. Like you, I feel like I'm the 1% it doesn't work for. On the other hand, I keep hearing what another poster said that if you get that many horrible questions, you are doing great. What a mean exam!!

So. I'm another person who got 75 q's, got the last question wrong, and is a fast test taker. It was over in less than 45 minutes. Let's be positive and happy and hopeful. I'm hoping to find out tomorrow morning. I will send you happy thoughts :)

Good luck to all of us! We totally deserve to make it through this horrid test and be nurses. We can do it!! Let us know when you get your good news. I know you will :)

wow over 30 SATA's. You must've been way up on the passing line. Congrats. I hope I pass my exam within 75 questions as well. I'm taking it 31st of Jan

SATA= Select All That Apply

So, bayareastudent, my results came in this morning, and I passed!! You did too. The PVT worked, the high SATA's were a good sign, it was all true. Breathe deeply.

Yay for finally being a nurse! Not a student anymore. How weird...

Congrats to you!

ooh man i feel you on those SATA questions. they gave me 20 SATA questions in a row!

i kept on thinking to myself, "really NCLEX, really?!"

you passed! relax!! did you do kaplan? they explain that there are 4 types of questions, the top two being analysis and application which are passing questions, and the bottom two being recall and understanding, which are failing questions. sata's are analysis and application, so if you had a lot you know you were above the passing line. if you were getting all basic recall questions, then you could be concerned, but it doesn't sound like it. congrats!
